A/N: just something i wrote for my creative writing class. i tweaked it a little. based very loosely on the summary/spoilers for the finale. JAM
The party, now dwindling, continues without us.
Hand in hand we twist down the stairway,
Fleeing this strange confinement.
He pulls me, out and down the tree lined drive.
I scream and laugh with glee,
How? When? Why am I so lucky?
He pulls me to him.
Far from the prying eyes of others
We kiss.
Again hand in hand we walk
Back toward the others,
But he stops.
I turn and there it is;
A diamond, perfect in its solitude.
He speaks, but I'm lost in the beauty
Of his eyes.
I nod, slowly realizing everything around me.
How? When? Why am I so lucky?
He pulls me to him.
We're lost in the embrace,
A never ending moment in each other.
Hand in hand we walk
Back to the others,
Back to the confinement.
Only now nothing can contain us,
Can hold all our love.
I glance up at him,
The smile that won't leave my face
is reflected in his eyes.
Today is the beginning
Of our eternal happiness.
