As Zatch had just lost his memories to Zeno, he saw a shady animal jumping from tree to tree. It was Marini. A small dog roaming the forest to find her partner, who ran to find help when they heard the explosion. Marini jumped from her branch to see if he was OK. She heard footsteps coming fast. She jumped into the air and flew up to her branch to see what it was. It was Kyo's father. She let out a howl to tell Serina that there was help for Zatch. She returned to her home in the city. Her ears perked up.
