Author's Note
Asylum of the Daleks is a short novella in my fanfiction series Once upon a Timelord. It takes place just after the Once Upon a Time episode, The Crocodile, and sees the Doctor, Amy and Rory in my story for the first time.
So far in the story, we know that the Doctor sent his son, the Professor, to an old friend of his, Rumplestiltskin, when he became the Dark One. For the next 328 years, the Professor has lived with Rumplestiltskin. When Emma came to town on her 28th birthday, the Professor, under the guise of Professor David Smith, subtly helped Emma break the curse.
When the curse was finally broken, and magic returned to the land, the Professor then became a practitioner of magic. Because Time Lords are immune to magic and the effects of magic, the Professor had to put a drop of his blood in a True Love potion. When it made magic return, the Professor's body rejuvenated itself, with purple regeneration energy (instead of golden) and he stayed the same. An average 19 year old boy. He became an "immortal" Time Lord, incapable of the normal regeneration (or so he thought. More on this later).
He thought, like everyone else in Storybrooke, that no one could see or watch them. He was wrong...
