Sanjiko paced around in front of the cafe she was meeting Penguin at. She was nervous. And she was rarely nervous. This, however, was sending her over the edge. Today was going to be an important day. She didn't have a lot of reference material to reference from so she was acting based on what she knew and heard. The girls helped a lot, giving her advice. The boys, however, were a total mess. Giving her dumb ideas and making her do stupid things. Each of them earned a kick in their stomachs for each shitty idea they gave. The mosshead got an extra kick though.

As she was lighting her tenth cigarette since she reached, which was probably ten minutes ago, she saw Penguin walking up towards her, waving. She waved back and felt her stomach flip. He was dressed in his usual jumpsuit with the Heart Pirates Jolly Roger and his hat. She watched him walked towards her, she took a deep breath and smiled at him.

I am going to do this. She stubbed her cigarette out with her shoe.

"Hey there, handsome." She kissed him on the cheek.

"Hey. So what's up?" He said back, grinning.

"Let's get a drink first." She slipped her hand through his, and pulled him into the cafe. Tip number one, go some where quiet. She had found this cafe when she was walking around town yesterday. It was a quaint little cafe, tucked at the end of the street. The crowd was small and the setting was cosy. The tables were draped with checkered red and white cloth and had a small candle lit in the center. As they sat down, after getting their drinks from the counter, she took a deep breath and said. "I have something important to ask you."

"Ask away, little chef?" He said, relaxing into the red plush armchair, sipping on his drink.

Well, here goes nothing.

"Let'sgetmarried." She mumbled through the words, nervous. She pulled out the ring she had chosen for him. A thin gold, band with the words, 'Forever yours, S', engraved on the inner side.

"What did you say?" He leaned closer trying to hear her better.

Her face turned bright red, as he leaned so close. She took another deep breath and said slowly. "Let's get married." She held the ring up to him, smiling nervously at him. He kind of spurt his drink out and leaned back into the chair when he heard her. He held his hand over his face so she couldn't tell how was he reacting to her statement.

"Um, sorry. Take it as I didn't mention it. I know pirates from different crews getting married is unheard of. Not to mention impossible." She stood to leave, embarrassed. Now she was going to lose someone she cared about terribly and her heart is going to be shitty for the rest of her life. As she walked pass him, he grabbed on to her, holding her tight. She looked to him surprised.

"The ring?" He asked, still not looking at her.

"Um, yea. It's for you." She said, touching the ring in her hand. "Can I see it?" She nodded and placed the ring in his palm. He looked at it, turning it with his thumb and index. And the one thing she didn't expect him to do was to slip it on his ring finger.

"It fits." He turned to her grinning. She felt her heart beat so fast, even more than before. The heavy weight suddenly lifted off her shoulders and she grinned back. He pulled her in and kissed her on her lips. "I accept your proposal."

She kneed him in his stomach, blushing. "Idiot!"
