CHAPTER 1 - FALL FROM GRACE!

Hey everyone and welcome to my first pokemon fic!

AGES ~

ASH ~ 15/16 (Kanto-Johto) 17/18 (Hoenn-Sinnoh) 19/21 (Unova-Unova pt 2) 23/24 (Kalos) 25 (Alola) 25 (final arc)

This fic will have ash being far more powerful than in canon and will follow the games. This chapter is gonna be pretty depressing, but its the only one.

It's going to be ash betrayed/lone wolf story with ash completing all of the leagues, challenging legendaries, taking down the evil teams, and finally, he will attempt to defeat the two strongest trainers in the world who will be revealed. One of them is real and in the games while the other is an OC that will be pretty damn op.

Ash and the two trainers pokemon will learn moves that cant be taught to certain pokemon in the game and will also use Z moves regularly as well as using more than one mega evolution.

The legendaries that ash uses will be caught in a battle and he will actually have to work for it (bar an obvious one). Also; ash's friends will no longer travel with him as he will only be accompanied by his very limited harem members.

With all that said; enjoy! (and plz don't flame my sensitive soul people, I try my best dammit!)

Ash Ketchum was a broken boy as he made his way to the arena to face Tobias and his legendary pokemon Darkrai. His friends had all left him because of his immaturity and being naive towards everyone. When he had defeated Paul, his rival and professional asshole, all of his friends, Pokemon, and even his own mother told him to abandon his place in the lily of the valley conference and release his pokemon. It had been the biggest emotional blow he took in his whole life and anyone that knew him, wouldn't recognize the sinister and haunting smile that he heald behind the innocent mask that he was about to show in battle

The trainer sighed when he recalled the events of yesterday.

(flashback)

Ash was still over the moon about his victory over Paul when he reached the main lobby of the stadium. The boy was surprised to find all of his friends, rivals, and his mother looking at him with a hint of anger. He was confused as to what he did wrong and approached the group cautiously.

He wore a slightly nervous smile as he greeted them. "Hey, guys! How did I do out there?" he asked innocently as he really wanted to know the reason behind the glares he was getting.

Delia Ketchum stepped forward with a sad expression as she gripped her son's shoulders tightly. "Ash...you were amazing out there and did us all proud…" she paused as she received a curious eyebrow from her boy. "But; you really stand no chance against that Darkrai. We all came here to convince you to forfeit the fight and release your pokemon…" she sniffled as the tanned boy's face contorted into a panic.

"W-what! I know I don't have a chance, but if I can take down at least one of his pokemon then that's a victory for me!" he shouted as he looked down at his pokeballs furiously. "My pokemon are my friends and I won't let you take them!" he hissed as he released sceptile, Charizard, Pikachu, staraptor, buizel, and torkoal.

3 of the six pokemon immediately cast their trainer an annoyed look while the others were slightly confused to the situation. "Your pokemon despise you for being a weak trainer ash." iris said angrily as she remembered all of the constant glares that the 3 pokemon had given him throughout the time that they spent traveling in Sinnoh.

Brock and Misty nodded with a gloomy expression as the older male chimed in. " I'm sorry ash...they just don't respect you anymore…" he sighed sadly.

Serena, May, Drew, and Gary were all silent as they could tell that their friend was reaching some kind of limit.

Staraptor, torkoal, and buizel looked at the girl in agreement as ash was completely shocked by this development. "What about you 3?" he asked his oldest friends, hoping for something to change. Charizard immediately growled at the traitorous group and pushed the button of the Pokeball and retreated inside as Pikachu and sceptile did the same. It was a massive relief to see his 3 most loyal team members stick with him in this horrible moment as he silently thanked them.

Paul then stepped out of the group with a smug smile and dawn around his arm. "C'mon ash. Your pokemon hate you, your friends hate you, and I stole your girlfriend...just quit and save the last of your pride…" he smirked as his rival balled his fists. Paul had always been the rival to constantly sadden or madly anger ash but the stunt that he pulled just two weeks ago.

For a brief moment, ash's whole world went silent and a single tear slipped from his eyes. He had recently walked in on the two making love after his second match and tried desperately to quell his depression. He suddenly snapped as his eyes were covered by his hair. If you looked closely, you could make out a red glow inside the raven fringe. "Y-you bastard…" he seethed as he sent the both of them a betrayed glare while dawn looked away in shame.

"ash….I-" dawn was cut off by her ex as he spat on the ground. The blue-haired girl had only dated ash for puppy love and he knew it, but she was still disgusted in herself for not breaking up with him and saving what little of his sanity that he had left.

"Save it you slut." he hissed, shocking everyone as he broke the 3 empty pokeballs in his palm and slowly walked away with a feral scowl. "I don't care if I lose….one day….one day….I'll prove you all wrong…" he growled as he disappeared into the darkness of the hall. It was very convenient that no one noticed the red, silver, and gold glow that was slowly getting thicker as it flowed through his figure.

Barry spoke up from the back with a nervous expression. "We went too far there….look at him…" the blonde said as he glanced at his friends retreating form.

"No...he needed to know Barry." professor oak said with a hint of shame in his hoarse voice as he was looking at the trainer's former Pokemon. "We need to find these guys a new home…" he said as each trainer took a few of the many pokemon from the coral.

They all reluctantly vacated the stadium with various emotions as they didn't notice a man with pure white hair staring at them, shaking with hatred. "Hold on ash...your not done yet…" he said into the empty room as he miraculously teleported away to an unknown location…

(flashback end)

Ash only had 3 pokemon left to face Darkrai and was slowly feeling dread creep up his spine. He picked up his remaining pokeballs and smiled sadly at his friends. "Thank you all for everything. And i'm sorry that you have a worthless failure like me as your master…" he whimpered as he stepped out into the blinding daylight of Sinnoh.

The crowd cheered the popular teen loudly as he slowly made his way to the battlefield. Upon seeing Tobias, he sighed sadly as he got ready for another crushing blow.

(1 hour later)

The match concluded with Tobias losing two of his pokemon and ash being defeated. His Pikachu was hit by a point-blank luster purge and looked to be the most damaged from the fight. The blue haired trainer was shocked that ash could defeat Darkrai and Latios with only 3 pokemon and held newfound respect for his new opponent.

While Tobias was patting his Latias on the head caringly, ash slowly stumbled out of the booming arena with tears flowing down. When he reached the tunnel, he immediately broke down and punched the wall. He lost. Again. And he proved everyone right. Pikachu may never be able to battle again because of this, and that was only the start of his problems.

He had been cheated on, betrayed, and abandoned by everyone he ever cared about. But instead of feeling sad and miserable, he was strangely filled with a raging hatred that he had never seen before. Hatred for his friends, hatred for his traitorous pokemon, but most of all; hatred for his pathetic self. He had failed to win another league and let down the only pokemon he had left. While he was against 2 legendaries and only using three pokemon, he felt completely furious with himself because of his own foolishness and inability to mature.

"I guess they were right huh?" he sobbed into the dark hall as he felt an overwhelming presence fill the long tunnel.

"Pathetic…" a voice growled from the exit as ash turned around in surprise. He could vaguely make out a trainers uniform, reminding him of the old models that they sold back in pallet town. There was also the short brown hair and blazing red eyes that made the boy get a familiar feeling. "So you're just going to quit because of some foolish weaklings that told you too? That's not the ash Ketchum that I know…" the voice hissed in the darkness.

"Who are you…" ash gulped as he used his aura to sense how strong the man was, and he had never even heard of someone that powerful…

The man snorted in amusement as he slowly stepped out of the shadows. "The names red…" he said in a strangely hoarse voice which signaled that he rarely spoke. "I only bother to speak to people that earn my respect, so count yourself, lucky kid," he said slowly as he glared intensely at the boy who was now pouring with sweat.

The young man in front of him was red. The strongest trainer in the history of Kanto and a member of the mythical trio of unrivaled trainers; "the master's archipelago". He was the champion of Kanto for a year and left his role because he was unbeatable and no one would challenge him. There were rumors that he could rival the leader of the legendary trio who was said to be impossible to defeat. He went missing just before Ash started his journey and was sighted in mt silver after he completely annihilated the team of gold, the current Johto champion. Just being in his presence made ash quake in his boots as he completely forgot about his previous thoughts.

Red sighed at the fanboy. 'This is why I prefer MT sliver…' he thought tiredly. "The reason that I am here is on orders of my boss. Both of us have been watching you since you started your journey and have waited for the right opportunity to greet you," he said to the raven-haired boy who looked completely dumbfounded at the news. "Despite what you and those weaklings think; your a good trainer, great even, and with the right mindset and enough skill, you will one day become stronger than you can ever imagine…" he paused as he smirked at the gobsmacked teen. "Don't you dare give up ash!" he shouted as he gripped the boy to the wall with an abnormal amount of strength. "You don't even realize what you're going to become. So get off your ass and travel back to Kanto. I want you to recollect all of your badges and defeat every single champion, and when you do that...you will challenge us for the title of the ultimate pokemon trainer." he said as he was waiting to drop the bombshell.

Ash looked at his childhood idol in disbelief. "But who is the strongest trainer in the world?" he asked fearfully as he swore that he saw red's eyes flicker in the same color as his name.

"He is known as void. He will not give his real identity to anyone because of his past and for the safety of his family. He has a completely unrivaled team with pokemon that are several times stronger than the most powerful of their species. He also uses two legendary pokemon like the trainer that you just faced, but far more powerful and has been able to teach his partner's completely unknown moves that are way stronger than normal. He only battles when someone worthy challenges him or if he is ever angered, but I doubt you would ever anger him ash." he said smoothly as ash asked the obvious question that red was practically begging to answer.

"Since you said that the master's archipelago was a trio of people; who is the third?" he asked as red walked away into the stands.

The young pokemon master turned to the teen and smiled in an almost giddy way. "The third member huh?" he asked to himself as he approached the stairs. "He holds the power of Giratina, the devil himself, and he is destined to defeat me and void in a pokemon battle and succeed us as the single strongest trainer in the world. He will gather a small team of elite pokemon and decimate the 7 regions with unseen brutality as he eventually faces the master's archipelago and saves the world from various legendaries and evil teams…" he said as he fully turned to ash and smiled wickedly.

"The third member of the master's archipelago is…"

"Ash Ketchum…"

(hall of origins)

Far above spear pillar stood the hall of origins, covered in clouds and invisible to human and ordinary pokemon's eyes was currently being visited by a single human with flowing white locks. This man was void; or his real name asta. He slowly ascended up the glowing, golden stairs while massaging a mysterious gold and black Pokeball. His last name was never used unless absolutely necessary as the man threatened to brutally kill anyone who revealed his identity.

Asta was the single strongest trainer in the world and one of the two humans on earth that could access the grand home of Arceus, god of all pokemon. He was a legend among trainers as he randomly appeared to either ruthlessly crush an overconfident champion or trainer who either abused their pokemon or had a massive ego, waiting to be annihilated; or save the world from various legendary pokemon. He was completely unrivaled in battle strategy and held an elite team of pokemon that could easily sweep the 7 champions effortlessly. The man had completed every Pokedex and caught almost every pokemon out there while training each one to be the apex of their species.

Asta reached the shining gates of the palace and opened them with a loud creak. He looked around as he was always amazed by the beautiful floor that reflected light and made a golden hue around the place and the various artifacts that he had collected and stored in the shrine. As he made his way to the throne room, he only saw a small number of the god pokemon's legendary children who were sitting around the mass table that was the size of a city.

When the trainer sat down, every lifeform covered their eyes as a magnificent ray of light shone in the sky and Arceus descended on his loyal subjects. "Ah asta my child…" the god pokemon smiled fondly at the human that he considered his son.

Asta looked at him and put on a fake smile. "Its good to see all of you as well…" he muttered as they all turned to the man who was acting extremely out of character.

"What's bothering you, my lord…" Dialga asked in worry as his master sighed in silent anger which made the time god flinch.

He looked over at the blue creature and gave him a grateful look. "Well you see, Ash's friends and almost all of his pokemon have abandoned him…" he seethed in hate. "He then lost his semifinal match with that twisted legend hunter Tobias after taking down a Darkrai and Latios." he fumed as the various pokemon looked at him in disbelief and started to mutter in rage.

"Those humans can never be trusted...abandoning our chosen like that should be punished with death!" Groudon bellowed angrily as some others nodded in agreement.

"That works for me…" yveltal mumbled as he relished another death to his kill count that disturbed the other legends.

"No one asked you...damn sadist…" Xerneas scowled angrily as her rival stuck his tongue out mockingly.

"I think the whole thing can be dealt with by grandmaster asta if hardass Groudon doesn't blow up Hoenn…" Kyogre teased to his nemesis.

"Shut up you damn whale. At least I'm not a pacifist pussy!" the red legend bellowed back angrily as they both got into a shouting match.

"Is it too much to ask that we can all resolve this peacefully?" Reshiram asked evenly as he hid his boiling rage and received gratefull looks from HO-OH and Lugia.

"Ash is stronger than those fools; he will become greater than even master asta with the plan he has created…" Palkia reasoned calmly as he relentlessly glared daggers at Dialga who was mimicking his voice comically.

"CAN YOU BUNCH OF DEGENERATES JUST HOLD YOUR TONGUES FOR AT LEAST A MINUTE PLEASE!" Arceus roared as he sent each of his children a deadly glare that dared them to breath louder than necessary.

Asta and Arceus looked at the squabbling legends tiredly as they shared a sympathetic glance at one another. "Your all correct...they will be punished gravely...but our main concern is ash right now so stick to the topic or zoroark will break every one of your skinny little bones..." he snarled as they all shuddered at the reminder of his most feared pokemon. "Since that man who stolen our kin has foolishly appeared, I will deal with him personally and give ash the special gift that he needs for his new journey…" he said with narrowed eyes as he released his pokemon.

The 6 monsters looked at their master with battle-hungry smiles as they emitted aura's of immense power that surpassed even the legends in the room. There stood a naganadel, volcarona, gallade, and a crimson genesect.

The 5th Pokeball which was yellow and black in color released a zoroark. But this wasn't your average zoroark. It was about the size of a tyranitar and had a shining golden coat which glowed in the hall and made the various legends gulp. This was Asta's most feared pokemon due to it being his second strongest pokemon and being able to become invisible and have the ability to K.O any pokemon that was noticeably weaker than it, which was almost certain to happen. If it was released in battle, the opponent would realize that they could never even imagine beating his masterful team.

Arceus looked at his son quizzingly as he raised an imaginary eyebrow at his choice in pokemon. "You're not using your strongest team?" the god pokemon asked him curiously as he examined the now bowing pokemon. The creature then gestured to a shining rainbow colored orb that was embedded inside a chest plate.

Asta saw where his father was going with this and frowned in an unamused expression. "Forget it dad...we can't reveal "that" until I battle ash. It is destined that the ultimate good and ultimate evil fight in the end after all…" he said as the other legends stared in awe at the glowing stone. "Kyurem! Did you gather any information about the Kanto and Johto regions happenings?" he asked his sixth pokemon who stomped over to his master.

The frozen dragon stood tall and proud as he listed the recent events in the region that his master's suspiciously important interest was starting at. "Team Rocket is secretly dominating the two regions with Giovanni working in the Kanto region, using the silph co-building as a secret base of operations. He is looking to mass create master balls to use against the legendary birds that occupy the region. In Johto, the team rocket executives are planning to broadcast that Giovanni has recovered from red's assault 5 years ago and team rocket is stronger than ever. It will probably be aired to the entire world to gather supporters." kyurem said in a rugged voice as he joined his fellow team members.

Asta's brows furrowed in thought as he scanned his team. "Good work pal, remember what I told you Arceus...you cannot get involved in any of this if you want your chosen to become strong. Right now; he's just a naive boy with hardly any accomplishments and a bad habit of playing fair…" he said vaguely to his surrogate father who nodded hesitantly. Arceus didn't particularly like ignoring world-threatening events like a bad sit-com but he followed his son's orders with strong loyalty. "I am certain that red has already cornered him and is explaining our history and his inevitable destiny as we speak. Dialga has already looked into the future and seen that the world and my- I mean ash are completely fine, so we don't need to pull any punches."

The white-haired trainer then looked over to naganadel, the purple dragon with a massive stinger that looked able to kill a wailord in one strike. "Naganadel! Fly me over to the lily of the valley conference... I would like to pay the legend hunter a visit…" he commanded his friend who lowered himself loyaly as he jumped onto his smooth back. "I won't be back for a week so is there anything that you need from me?" he asked the room of pokemon as his father spoke up.

"My son; is it really wise to leave our chosen in the hands of Giratina? I banished him for his love of death, violence, cruelty, and battle. He may corrupt the boy…" Arceus asked nervously as the trainer shook his head almost instantly.

"Ash will change, but he will still be the same boy on the inside. Giratina is the perfect choice to help ash remove his stupidity, naivety, blind kindness, and his habit of trusting others while he will also help train the rest of his team via a plan straight from me…" he informed them as he returned the 5 other pokemon into the devices and shot off at an impossible speed.

Ash fell over in shock when he heard the words come from red's smirking mouth. "T-that's not true! I'm a failure that can't even win a single championship!" he practically whined as the older trainer gained an annoyed tick mark on his barely visible face.

"You are for now. But if you train hard...you will achieve greatness….son of the devil…" he whispered as he disappeared into the crowd. Ash could see red nonchalantly make his way into an empty V.I.P booth as he ignored the horde of screaming fangirls and awestruck trainers.

"Holy shit...is that actually red?" one man asked his friend who was too shocked to speak.

"He's such a badass…" another said with stars in his eyes.

"I wonder if he will fight Cynthia after Tobias does…" a girl said while she was transfixed on the teen's muscular body and dark, cold eyes that shone despite the light.

As ash was about to join him he heard an all too familiar feminine voice call him.

"Hey, ash! There's something you need to know!" the voice belonged to Cynthia, the Sinnoh champion who looked extremely pale.

The boy ignored his friend's voice as he snarled at her. "Now's not the time cynthia...you can brag about your superiority when we leave the tournament…" he sneered as she took a step back from the red and silver aura that suddenly surrounded him.

The blonde woman's heart sank at his words as she had developed a huge crush on the fiery boy because of his positive personality and unintentionally sweet smile. "N-no...its not that ash…" she almost mumbled as he turned around and looked slightly guilty. He urged her to continue as he wrapped a soft hand around her waist, not knowing of the wonders that it did for her. When she calmed down from the slight arousal, she managed to get out the chilling news. "I doubt that you'll believe me, but the former Kanto champion and second-ranked member of the archipelago trapped me in a room and forced me to give the battle with Tobias to his boss!" she shouted as ash almost forgot how to breathe.

"W-what!"

"I know right!" she screamed back hysterically. "He beat my garchomp with his Charizard in one move and threatened to feed me to that massive lizard if I didn't forfeit!" she yelled as she slowly calmed down because of the breathing exercises that ash was giving her.

Ash looked at her as he remembered his talk with red and took a deep breath. "You should allow it, Cynthia. I think that we need to get to the stands so that we can watch this fight!" he shouted to her as he gripped the ladies smooth hand and ran up the stairs with the blushing woman barely keeping up.

They settled down in their seats that were thankfully far away from any fans. "So Cynthia…" ash started as the girl flared up yet again.

The blonde was squealing in delight inside her head as she tried to force down her head which was doing a reasonable impression of a magmar. 'OH MY GOD IS THIS A CONFESSION?' she questioned intensely in her head as she began to lean in for a kiss.

"Since your a champion and all...would you mind telling me about the archipelago?" he asked innocently as it suddenly felt like the whole world went silent. He could have sworn that he saw several tumbleweeds sweep between them and a choir of crickets croaked at his almost instant shutdown.

"Oh…" was all the deflated woman said as she mourned over the chance of snagging the young trainer. "Well we could start with their history right?" she asked nervously as the boy nodded eagerly while she caught him sneak a peek at her cleavage, making her go beet red. "W-well...red was the trainer who took down team rocket by himself, beat the Kanto champion blue, remained undefeated until he retired and managed to capture mew and mewtwo," she said as they boys eyes almost bulged out of his sockets. 'That asshole didn't mention that he caught the two rarest pokemon in the world…' he thought, slightly peeved.

The woman's expression suspiciously darkened when she moved on to the next trainer. "And the most powerful trainer is v-v-void...who I fought once. His team his completely unbeatable as they move faster than light and hit with the force of 100 hyper beams from a Dragonite…" she shuddered at the reminder of the crushing loss as she continued. "He uses moves that have never even been registered in the 7 regions and is said to have a pokemon that is a completely different color and type to its species. It's his strongest pokemon and has a terrifying ability that makes its opponent be defeated if the pokemon is significantly weaker than it…" she almost whispered with a quiver as ash paled.

"How is that even fair…" he questioned to no one in particular as he eyed Tobias who had just walked onto the field for the closing match. "His team must be perfect if he can beat someone as strong as you…" he said in awe as Cynthia blushed hard at the compliment.

"Thanks, Ash…that means alo-" she was interrupted as the static of a mic sounded around the arena. Every audience member turned to the champions box where Cynthia shirona was missing from. A mass of concerned mumbling broke out until ash heard a chorus of gasps as red stepped into view, holding Mr goodshaws battered and bruised body dangling in the air for everyone to see.

(champions box)

The various regional champions were looking on in shock as they saw something out of their very darkest nightmares. Red. the trainer that easily beat the Kanto elite four and swept the champion blue's team with only his Charizard. Every single champion lived in fear of the archipelago as they could easily take their champion status away from them, anytime they wanted and could also kill you if they suspected that you mistreated your pokemon.

"W-why the hell his he here…" Gold choked out in fear as he recalled the complete destruction of his team atop the freezing mountain.

Stevan and alder were looking on, bug-eyed as they watched the teen carelessly throw the presidents bloody body down a set of stairs. They had both hoped that neither of the two monsters visited their league and sweep them all humiliatingly, as well as the mystery 3rd member who hadn't made a public appearance yet. Diantha and kukui were the calmer of the champions but even they were sweating profusely as they looked into the eyes of red, the second strongest trainer on earth.

They were cut out of their panic as the normally silent boy spoke into the microphone. "Testing, testing...are we clear?" he asked mockingly as he coughed due to his unused throat. "I have some news for the winner of the lily of the valley conference, Tobias and all of you brilliant people attending this rigged tournament…" his voice dripped with venom and sarcasm as he swore he could feel asta sweatdrop in the distance. "Cynthia shirona will not be facing Tobias today." he said smugly as everyone rang down boos but when he said the next line, the whole world stopped moving… "he will," he smirked darkly as a massive bolt of purple lightning crashed down on the opposite side of the arena.

When the huge dust cloud disappeared; the viewers could see a man sitting atop an extremely powerful wasp-like dragon that glowed a menacing scarlet. This pokemon was almost universally unknown to the world as the trainer casually stepped down from the deadly beast and sighed tiredly. "Damn naganadel...did you have to fly at light speed again...its hard on my neck…" the man groaned as the audience could clearly see who the powerful being was.

It was void, the son of god…

And that's it for chapter one!

Its kind of an intro to the rest of the story and the next chapter will be the battle between asta and Tobias as well as the beginning of Ash's journey. For anyone who doesn't know; Naganadel is an ultrabeast from ultra sun & ultra moon. It's a dragon/poison type and is the coolest gen 7 pokemon in my opinion.

Ash will not be extremely op until his return to Sinnoh where he has almost completed his final team. The story will cover all 7 generations and will also include some movies that would be relevant. This follows the game storyline and will not feature any pre-Unova anime moments like infernape vs electivire. The reason Serena, iris, and cilan are in the story early is because I decided to make them appear in Sinnoh instead. Ash's other pokemon are gone for good now and he only has Pikachu, Charizard, and sceptile, his 3 strongest pokemon. The former pokemon will go to some of Ash's friends and only a few will stay relevant in the story.

As for asta. He is my OC and I can't give any more info as it will spoil the plot. Red is the second strongest character in this fic until the end of the story. He is still OP but still far weaker than asta who is in a league of his own. I think red would be able to defeat his two weakest pokemon with just his Charizard before he gets taken out so that gives you a decent idea as to how powerful "void" is.

As for the evil teams; they will go up against ash and one more than one occasion, asta, and red. They will follow the games and we are including the aether foundation and team skull as well so you can bet that I will have broken fingers and sleep deficiency by the end of this story (SEND HELP)
