Everyone stopped. Stared.

"Percy, don't go through with this. I know you don't love her. I love you. We still have something, I can feel it and I bet you do to. Please..., don't go through with this."

All heads turned to the groom. There weren't many people in the room, a dozen besides him and I, all of them his brothers; this was the best men's preparation tent.

"Penelope, enough is enough."

He'd never been sharp with me before.

"Get out of the tent."

Overeager and underway
I risked it all, I had to say
What opened me up for the beating
