as a child. We're all told stories of heroes. Men who can lift cars and stop meteors.

But in real life a lot of us think that heroes aren't real. we are wrong.

There are heroes all around us.

They're out there. Working an honest day to protect people from evil.

Whether they be the police who stop robbers, to the doctors who stop disease, to the fire fighters who stop the wildfires.

If you look harder you can find heroes in your own home. To the grandma who finds time to call you to see how you feel, to the mom who works hard to make sure you have a roof over your head.

We may not have superman fighting terrorists or spiderman helping people from thugs, but we have the army protecting us from evil and that one person who see wrong and stops it in the name of good.

there are the heroes who don't even know there heroes, the ones who save someone they don't know from commiting suicide or helping people with the groceries when they can't.

when are grandparents were are age they were fighting a war or tyrrany, a war of real evil. They fought hard and won against a person who is more evil than anyone in some comic.

The men fought at the front line and the women worked hard so the men could fight the fight. The women were heroes because without there work the men would not have the weapons or the ammo to fight. The men are heroes because even when it looked hopeless they still fought on.

IN this day and age We keep wishing for heroes to show up with there super powers and super brains...not really knowing the real heroes are here already.

You just don't look hard enough.

Written by a person who still believes even with all the evil out there, A spark of light will shine on a real hero, be it a marine...

a cop

a doctor

someone trying to raise a little money for a friends surgery

or even the guy who picks up the garbage...

A hero is judge by the size of there heart. not there muscle.

Someone once said 'a hero sits next door'

no.

A hero is right in front of you, you just can't see it.
