Hello,
This is just a story, with a probably G or PG rating, from Tomorrow When the War Began by John Marsden. It's not that great, but I wrote it so I thought I might as well post it so people can read if they wish, I hope you like, but I doubt you will,
Oh and don't be too mean, this is my first post. On to the story...

Chapter One
I have been chosen to record our experiences to date. Well, lets see, it all began with this quite excentric, independent, yet caring girl from school, Ellie Linton.
Ellie and her best friend Corrie decided to take a journey into the bush during the Christmas holidays between year 11 and 12.
I was amazed when she called me and asked if I would like to come, I was quite keen on the idea, though my parents were being quite difficult. I bumped into Ellie and her mother whilst shopping; our mothers had a long conversation, Mrs Linton managing to convince my mother that the camping trip was a good idea.
So Ellie managed to assemble a group of seven: herself, Corrie, Kevin- Corrie's boyfriend, Lee, Homer- a tough Greek boy and myself Fiona.
Apparently we were going to miss out on the Wirrawee Show, which was a rather large event for the townspeople, this turned out to be a problem. I had no opposition, as I rarely go to such events. The Wirrawee Show is a kind of fete, really exciting when your little, but in recent years it had become rather dull, so missing it wasn't an issue to me.
We ended up leaving the day before the Wirrawee Show, which was officially called Commemoration Day. We left around 10 o'clock in the morning. About half way up the cliff, I had to be sick, so I walked most if the journey after that.
When we reached the top Ellie showed us our route, which resembled a small collection of cliffs.
She then noticed my backpack, which she stated was much too full. As nice of a person as Ellie is, she is quite controlling and she instantaneously assembled a "committee" as she called it to reassemble my bag.
It was then time to pack provisions. It would be a long and tiring hike into the remote bush known as 'Hell' and we would have to carry everything on our backs, so we had to make some decisions on which foods to take and leave and in most cases the rather unhealthy alternative was chosen.
At approximately 5 o'clock the hike to the top of the land formation known as Tailor's Stich commenced.
When we reached a point at the top of the mini cliffs-Satan's Steps, I was quite nervous about not being able to come back once we'd started, nevertheless I took the plunge into a place called Hell.
Three 'steps' later we discovered a stream, we then rested for a while and Robyn uncovered a beautifully hand crafted bridge.
I felt this was a pretty nice environment and wondered why it was called Hell. On our walk we discovered our camping ground, where we would eventually be staying for longer than we intended to...
