Hermione sighed and looked at the two read heads that were sitting two spots down at the Gryffindor table. They were her best-friends. Sort of.

Fred was the gentler one. The one that had the puppy eyes that made her heart, basically, melt. George was the tougher of the two. Always constantly on her because of boyfriends (though she rarely had any), and how Harry and Ron should appreciate her more.

Hermione hated the fact that there was an imaginary line between the years at Hogwarts. People usually stuck to keeping friends in their year as to keep friendships close. Hermione had know that even with Harry and Ron in her year, she wouldn't have stood a chance of being their friend if she wasn't the one they had saved in the lavatory that first Halloween night.

Thinking back Hermione realized how lucky she was to be the one Ron had called bad names that first year. And even though it hurt to admit it, she was loved him for calling her names that year. But she would hex him if he did it now. Hermione thought he seemed to already know that now. He actually seemed pretty afraid of her with a wand in her hand when she was mad. Especially if it was him she was mad at.

Hermione was brought out of her thoughts by Harry and Ron sitting on either side of her looking at her with deep concern.

"What's wrong Hermione?" Ron asked, already reaching for a plate to pile food on.

"What'd you mean Ron?" she asked, confused.

Harry laughed silently and Hermione turned to him, eyebrows raised.

"Sorry, Hermione. It's just that you always mess with your hair when your worried or thinking so hard your worried about something."

Hermione pulled her hand out from her bushy hair and sighed. She would have to look up a spell to break that bad habit.

"So what was it?" Ron asked, spitting chewed up bacon in the general direction of Harry and Hermione.

"Huh?" Hermione asked, already forgetting what they had asked her.

"What were you pulling your hair out thinking about for?" Harry asked slowly.

Hermione smiled faintly and said, "You guys and some of my other friends."

Harry looked behind Hermione and Ron looked behind her too. They exchanged raised eyebrows.

Getting up, Hermione kissed both boys on their cheeks and said, "Thanks for being there guys."

Harry and Ron nodded slightly confused. Ron touched his cheek slightly, already getting a slight pink blush on his cheeks.

They watched as Hermione walked down two seats at the Gryffindor table and bend down. They saw her kiss two other red heads on the cheek, and Harry and Ron couldn't be more happy that Hermione had found more friends than them. But they still absolutely adored her to no end. So did Fred and George.

Disclaimer: Obviously I don't own Harry Potter and let me see, yep no money going into my purse for this fiction.

A/N: So, I honestly don't know why I wrote this. It just seemed fitting for Hermione. Because she's insecure and you only get a glimpse of it in the books.
