This is a cute story, whatever, and whatever. Bughead moments and it is set in the future when they are takinh their relationship to the next level, yeah, so enjoy!
"So, Elizabeth Cooper, will you marry me?" He eagerly asked her. She couldnt help but smile while saying "Of course Juggy!" He pushed the small sapphire onto her long fingers and stood tall to kiss his girl.
She gladly tucked her hands behind his neck. They shared that kiss for what felt like hours. They loved each other so much and they both knew it.
He picked her up and twirled her around. She giggled and kissed him once more, this time a bit harder. More passionate.
"Oh my god. I can't believe this, i am marrying Jughead Jones!" He loved tge sound of that. He thought to himself, Elizabeth Cooper-Jones...
She stared at his wandering eyes and loved what she saw. He looked into hers and never wanted to look away.
"Ya know, Veronica and Archie are at Pop's. So maybe we can tag along and tell them the big news..." She kindly said to him as he kissed her jaw. She tilted her head back but as soon as she did he stepped back and accepted the offer. She protested as he dragged her back to car.
They drove to the Chocklitte Shoppe and parked a few spaces away from Archie's truck.
He helped her out of the car and they walked hand in hand. The familiar ring of the bell brought her back to her teen years that she cherished so much.
"Betty?!" Veronica ran out of the booth and jumped in her arms.
Archie looked back and stood up to hug Jughead. "What a pleasant surprise!" He said as he slapped Jughead on the back, a little too hard. He winced at the slight pain but shrugged it off. "How have you guys been?" Veronica and Archie shared a quiet chuckle and said in unision "WE ARE ENGAGED!!"
Betty stared at Jughead with a surprised look and she made a frowning face. He shared about the same look. Archie and Veronica, confused, asked "What's wrong with you guys?"
Jughead stuttered while trying to explain there engagment but failed. Betty interupted his failed attempt by saying "We...are also...engaged."
Veronica's mouth basically fell to the floor while Archie was speechless. Betty and Jughead tried to fake enthusiasm but the others could tell it wasn't real.
"Ohhh my gawwwd... WHAT ABOUT A DOUBLE WEDDING?!?!"
Archie's head snapped to face her with shock and confusion. Jughead also. Betty showed a hint of a smile and looked at Jughead. He and Archie were not the kind of people to combine their weddings. Although they were best friends, it was something they did not want to share.
Betty gripped Veronica's hand and they slightly jumped up and down with joy. Archie whispered in Veronica's ear "Are you serious about this?" She turned to look at him and nodded happily. He shrugged and stated "If she's in...I'm in."
Jughead now had to agree.
Betty kissed him gently and begged him to do this. He sighed and agreed to do it, for Betty.
They all sat down and had many milkshakes and fries. They shared many fun stories of when they were teens.
At the end of the night they all agreed to meet up in a couple days to discuss the combined wedding.
Both couples were fairly okay with it but the women desperately wanted it so, the men faked happiness for their lovely soon-to-be wives. And that was enough for them.
