After SHE came, everything changed.
Leah could see it in his eyes, hear it in his voice, feel it when she was near him. Suddenly, she'd pull him close only to feel his one arm around her, his entire body turned away. He'd walk off without her when they were together, unlike how he used to wait for her, like the gentleman he was.
She'd call him and text him, and he'd never answer or pick up. She could feel her heart cracking.
"It's ok!" Emily assured her. "He loves you, Leah, and he'd never leave you."
"I'm sure it's nothing." Seth would say. "He's knows he's got the most amazing girl in the world."
She didn't believe them though.
"Leah, I need to talk to you really quick." Sam pushed on her elbow, pulled her away from her friends. She was surprised at the contact.
They went a short distance, and he stood apart from her, looked her straight in the eyes.
"I can't do this anymore."
That was the first blow. Leah kept her face composed, but inside her heart was racing. Couldn't do what? Was he cheating? She knew deep in her heart what it was. He couldn't pretend to love her anymore. "I figured."
"I loved you once. Now I just… don't."
Leah's heart stopped. She looked into his eyes. Nothing was there to contradict what he said. He looked slightly uneasy, as though he was waiting for her explosion. Her voice was surprisingly calm. "That's fine."
"I hope we can still be friends."
Before she had time to see if he was sincere, he was walking away.
She headed back towards her friends, a tiny ease washing over her. The second her friends saw her, and the gasps and "OH NO HE DIDN'T!"s started, she could feel her cheeks growing wet.
She had never realized just how much she needed him tell he was gone.
a/n: cuz i ALWAYS have to leave one! :P so this is how i got dumped the other dayyy. the dialogue was all the same, but the circumstances were a little different. i guess i should feel bad sharing this with the world, but i dont XD so leave me a review and make me smileee!
