Chapter 1

Scattered by the Oculus

Sara got back to the ship just moments after the Oculus exploded. She walked straight past everyone and straight to her quarters. She couldn't fathom what had happened. She had just gotten to a place with Snart when he was ripped away from her. She never imagined herself as the type of person to fall for someone. She'd always thought of herself as more of a drifter, never staying focused on one person for too long.

But that changed with Snart.

Snart was who she saw herself with. He was just a damaged as her, just as broken. He understood where she came from even if he hadn't experienced it himself.

She picked up a knife and threw it at the target board. Physical aggression was always her way of taking out her feelings of frustration and hurt.

She thought back to the conversation they had in here before they went out.

"I've been thinking about the future," Snart had said, looking up at her with those cod yet charming eyes. "What it holds for you. And me. And you and me."

"Oh? If you're trying to steal a kiss from me Leonard, you better be one hell of a thief," she told him.

Now, with him gone, she's only left to wonder what he had envisioned. She had only given him a chaste kiss before she had dragged Mick back to the ship, leaving her with only a taste of their untold future.

Another knife hit the target. And another. By the time every single one of her knives were impaled into the wooden board, Sara's frustration had only diminished a few notches.

(some time later)

Sara sat inside the Waverider's library looking over all the old missions they'd accomplished. The summaries stretched from Carter being killed by Vandal Savage to the team crash landing in Los Angeles and finding out they broke time.

"Gideon, give me a sweep up of any more aberrations you can pick up on." She called out to the Waverider's built in intelligence system from the library.

"I have pinpointed one aberration located in London, 1922." Gideon answered.

"Care to elaborate?" Sara asks.

"It seems that a London's spy agent by the name of Steve Trevor was saved from a exploding plane by a man unknown to this time era." Gideon explains. "Steve Trevor had originally died in the explosion in an effort to save a city from lethal gas bombs."

Sara smirked. "Gideon, set a course for London, 1922. We are going to see just who caused this aberration."

"Certainly Captain."

Sara marched onto the bridge where everyone was gathered; Ray, Jax, Mick, Nate, Amaya. "Alright, listen up everyone! We've got ourselves another aberration."

Everyone looks to each other. "Where? I mean when?" asks Ray.

"London, 1922."

"That's the height of World War 1. The German General Erich Ludendorff alongside an insane chemist named Doctor Poison set out to eradicate all of London by dropping gas bombs so powerful even gas masks couldn't protect people. It's said that the plane bomber was stopped by a band of outcasts and secret agents, led by a man named Steve Trevor." Nate explained. "He was accounted dead, having gone up in the plane to stop it when it blew. Some people also say that there was a battle between deities. Ares, the Greek god of war, against Diana Prince, also known as Wonder Woman."

"Amaya, do you know anything about this Wonder Woman?" Sara asks.

"Nothing other than a few old Legends. Supposedly she stopped the god of war, but at the price of the man she loved." Amaya answers, glancing at Nate as she spoke.

(With Amaya and Nate being a will-they-will-they-not couple in the middle of season 3 which is when I began writing this (but I'm setting it off into the future a little because I don't think this would fit in the middle of the whole Mallus thing), I'm trying to play into the stolen glances and hidden meanings between the two of them. Also FYI I believe that Vixen could be the grandchild of both Amaya and Nate, so I'm still holding out for the two of them, plus, what's the worst that can happen with them changing the future ;) I guess you guys will have to wait and see what I come up with.)

"Okay, this is all well and good, but what's the aberration and how does it affect these people?" Jax states, stepping forward.

"The London secret agent who died in the plane explosion, Steve Trevor, was saved by a mystery man, impacting Wonder Woman's actions towards maintaining peace in mankind." Gideon chimes.

Mick, who had been draining his 5th beer bottle of the morning, looked up and spoke. "So let me get this straight. We're going down to see who this guy with the freeze gun is and what he's doing, and setting a goddess straight on what she needs to do to maintain peace."

"Yes," nods Sara.

"Cool."

"Alright so here's the plan," Sara began. "Ray, you will fly up to the ticking time-bomb of a plane and see just who our mystery man is, but don't interfere with his rescue, if we can undo the changes made to history and keep a soldier alive, we will."

"Right," Ray responded.

"Jax and Mick, you guys are on ground cover." continued Sara. "I want you guys to be there when our mystery man and this Steve Trevor touchdown." Behind her, Sara heard Mick give a grunt, whether it was approval or irritation at not being able to use his gun, she doesn't ask. "Nate and Amaya, you guys are with me. We are going to be covering Ms. Wonder Woman after she defeats Ares." Looking around at everyone, they all seem eager to jump back into the game, especially when it doesn't have their fates hanging in front of their faces. "Alright everyone, buckle up. You ready Gideon?"

"Absolutely, Captain."

"Then let's go." Sara states as she sends the Waverider through the Temporal Zone.

Alright guys, so I've been wanting to do a Sara/Snart fanfiction for a while, but I was stumped on how to bring Snart back into the game without pulling his younger self out of the timeline. SO this is what I came up with; Snart was scattered somewhere in time by the Oculus explosion since he was right at the center of it. When he comes to his senses, he creates a time aberration in order to get the Legends attention.
