A/N: This has been bouncing around in my head where ideas for my current stories should be. To make room for ideas, I got this out of the way. I've always wanted to write about these two. Sonya's POV when she's about 10. All Italics are thoughts. Enjoy!
Going to Thailand would be fun, but moving there would be like wandering around the scary...dark...woods that are d-dark.
I gulped at the thought of moving to a whole new country. My dad said it would be fun and exciting, and I'd make new friends.
But what about the old ones? The ones that have been there for me? The ones I know and love? Couldn't we wait until I turn thirteen?
But my dad's job moved so he had to move. He gave me a cell phone so I'd be able to call or text my friends.
It's still not the same! I wouldn't get to see them like I used to. I couldn't be a part of the craziness we always had.
He gave me three extra days to say goodbye. The first day all of my friends came over and we had a massive sleepover. The boys even told their scary stories(I didn't mind). The second day was mostly packing. The third day, I walked around the neighborhood, making one last stop to all of my favorite places.
Then, I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned to see one of my closest friends standing there.
"Hey, Lee." I greeted with less enthusiasm than usual. "What's goin' on?"
"I wanted to give you something." He grabbed something out of his pocket, and put it my hands.
"A yoyo?" I asked.
"It glows in the dark." he told me smiling.
He always knew how to make me smile.
That made me giggle. "Thank you."
He blushed slightly. "Your welcome."
I noticed that he was still holding my hand. "I'll miss you." A tear slid down my face.
He wiped the tear away. "I'll miss you too." Before I knew it, he pulled me into a kiss. After a few minutes we broke the kiss.
I felt a blush creep onto my face. I hugged him, and I was now crying, knowing that I'd probably never see him again.
"There you are!"
We both jumped, and I realized that the voice was from my mother, who was visiting her friends the day before.
"Come, let's go!" she said. "You can see him tomorrow."
"What?" Was she in the same world I was in? "We're leaving today."
"Daddy didn't tell you?" she asked.
No. "Tell me what?"
"He saw how upset you were about leaving, and he went to see if this job is worth keeping, but it's not, so we're staying." she explained.
"Really?" Lee asked.
She nodded.
YAY! We're staying, and I don't have to leave my friends!
I hugged Lee with much excitement.
"...Sonya...I...can't...breathe..." I immediately let him go. "So, I guess I'll see you tomorrow."
"Okay." I replied in a bubbly tone. I looked at the yoyo in my hand.
"You can keep it." he told me.
"Thanks!"
I never thought my life could make two humongous flip-flops in one week.
A/N: I hope this wasn't terrible. Please review. I'll get updates on my other stories ASAP. :D
