A\N: Wow I haven't uploaded anything in a long time. I really need to get my laziness checked. Anyway this oneshot is about a certain shinobi thinking about the girl he loves and how all he needs is her.

Remember the good old days when dating consisted of a stroll in the park, a trip to the ice cream parlor, heading to the soda shop. It happened a lot in those old movies. The lovers didn't have loads of cash on them, all they had was each other.

They didn't have the fairytale ending that happened in books and stories, they had something better.

When a mission went wrong or training went bad, they didn't fight or yell. They held took each other's hands and held each other tight.

He didn't have that much money, being a kid on his own. When her birthday came around, he couldn't get a big bouquet, just a simple flower he found himself.

There weren't a lot of fancy restaurants in his budget, but a night for just the two of them at the Ichiraku was just fine.

They saw movies every now and then, even if they had to hang from the ceiling to sneak in.

On Valentines Day, they didn't have time to take off for a vacation to France, but sharing a box of chocolates under a training ground tree was a good enough vacation for them.

They understood each other, they knew each other. She understood his need for some guy time and he understood her need for girl time.

They some of the other couples around them, going all the way, making out in public. They knew it was for attention. But they didn't need attention. It was enough for him just to hold her, wrap their arms around each other.

There weren't any days he didn't think about her. Every mission when he was away from her, all he could think about was when she would run into his arms, so happy to know he was alive.

Training was hard, so they encouraged each other. They had each other's back no matter back. When she felt like she wasn't worth being a ninja, he'd put a hand on her shoulder and say she was worth everything to him.

Thinking about the good old days, the boy came to his girl one day and said, "Hinata?"

"Yes Naruto kun?"

"Sometimes I feel well…sometimes I feel like I can't give you anything like I'm just not good enough for you."

"But you can't give me everything," she said taking his hand, "All I need is you."

For them the good times weren't the good old days, the good times were right now.
