Here's another story for the SilverUmbra Challenge of the Week! Enjoy!
I floated along, looking for a certain legendary of night. I was going to hurt him. Since when did he get my "permission" to keep my Skarmory from attacking Mew? I would use my awesome psychic powers to slowly fill his ears with the faint barking of his Absol. Then I would –

"Cresselia!"

I spun around, my pink cosmic "wings" in a frenzy as I saw who it was.

"Darkrai. What do you want?"

I saw it in his ghostly eyes. Forgiveness. That was all he had ever wanted from the mistakes he had made, especially the ones that affected me in a bad way. Like keeping Skar from attacking Mew when he stole my chocolate cherries.

"Um… Sorry?"

He was also uncertain. That much was in his trembling voice. I watched him for a minute, his shape shifting and wavering in the light wind. Light wind? Wait; there is no wind on my island. I looked up in to the tree I was standing under.

Suicune sat on a branch a few feet above my head, her twin tails shifting slightly. She grinned at me and fled higher into the tree.

"Sorry for what? What did you do?" I said, playing dumb.

He sighed. "I let Mew take your chocolate cherries," he said. "And I also accidentally crazed Skar at the same time," he whispered after that, wincing a little.

I breathed as deep as I could, trying not to explode. "You. Did. What?" I whispered back, dangerous edge on my voice.

"Oops, I guess you didn't know about that little part yet. I'll just leave quietly, now…"

"Yes, I think that's the best thing to do, Darkrai."

"Oh, and Cressi?" I stared at him. Did he just call me Cressi?

"Yes?"

"I came to your island to tell you something other than an apology. I came here to say I'm leaving. Goodbye and take care." His almost-transparent body faded with the wind.

"Don't leave, Darkrai! I need you," I murmured, but it was too late; he was gone.

I felt a soft wetness on my cheek, and I knew that I was crying. The little clear droplet rolled down my face, leaving a path on my steel cheek. I never got to tell him…

Suicune came down from the tree and stood next to me, the willow branches swaying in front of us, trailing in the river that ran through the island. She stood there, watching me cry, staring at me with wonder.

"He's gone," I cried. "And I never got to tell him…"

I love him.

Well, I hope you liked it. You can look forward to one of these little fics every week. Please review!
