Alanna, The Lady (As If!)

*You all know what happens during the decision, I do not want to write that all down Enjoy!*

~*~*~*~*~* "Alanna," Thom whispered as he looked into the tear-stricken face of her sister. Alanna whipped her tears away. "Alanna, dearest sister, don't cry," he said holding her close.

"I can't believe that I have to go to the convent, Thom. I mean why can't father think of his children's interest for a change instead of what the world is saying? I hate, loathe, and despise him with all my heart. It will be worse than hell for me, Thom. I mean can you imagine me like one of those baffle-brained noble ladies!" Alanna replied.

"Why, milord it is a pleasure to meet such an outstanding hero! *Sigh*" Thom mimicked a rather high-pitched Lady Catherine who had arrived at their house several years ago. Alanna laughed at her brother. She hugged him close.

"Thom, promise me that you will be a great fighter, however you do it. When I come to the court, I want you to be good at swordswomanship and archery. Please, do not embarrass me when I come to court. Keep Trebond's name high."

"I promise, Alanna. I promise you won't be disappointed in me. And promise me that you wont do anything to damage yourself. Promise me that you will stick to being a lady, and be able to fight. I want to see you fighting when I come to court. Remember, being a hero is to face you fears head-on, read it in a book somewhere. Cant really remember now." Alanna laughed. Trust Thom to go consult a book. The Trebond twins hugged. Tears of being lost to each other for six years had been shed. They looked at the carriage awaiting to take Alanna to the City of Gods and the horse to take Thom to the palace. They hugged briefly, smiled, and then walked up to meet their worst fears of all times.
