What You Don't Know
I have changed the timing of Lou's death to when Sam is 9 years old. The age gap between Sam and Jake is 1 year and 6 months. Jake is 10 and a half. Quinn is almost 13. Bryan is 14 and a bit. I am pretty sure Seth is a typo but I am making him 16. Adam is 17. Nate just turned 19 and Kit is 22. Wyatt hasn't met Brynna yet.
Intro
"No!" The girl screamed. "No!" She collapsed to the ground and started to sob. "No," she whispered.
Jake Ely sat outside on the porch steps waiting with his family. His mother stood next to him crying silently onto his dads shoulder. Wyatt and Sam came down the stairs together and joined them. The funeral progressed slowly. Neither Sam nor Jake said a word throughout the whole thing. There wasn't much to say. Once the food came out, most of the Ely boys started to chatter away. Even Kit had come. Jake walked up to the silent Sam and took her hand. He didn't often show affection in this way. The pair started to walk away from the group. Jake new exactly how to calm Sam. And it worked.
