Hiding the Tears
We all know that Apollo Justice doesn't know who his parents are.
Despite of this, we haven't seen him crying.
Or maybe, this is what bothers our great ex-defense attorney Phoenix Wright.
He knew that Lamiroir—who is also known as Thalassa—is the mother of both Apollo and Trucy, and they're half-sibling. But he haven't tell both of them about the truth yet, because their mother still thinking of the right time for it. Still, he really wants to tell the two siblings so there are no secrets among them.
But Apollo never showed his feeling about it. True, he might be considered Trucy as his little sister (and that's right actually) and Phoenix as his father. But he never showed any interest to search for his parents, or to find any information about his family, never.
Phoenix always thought that if he was Apollo, then he will do anything to find his family. That's what he thought.
But Apollo was different. This is what Phoenix thinks is strange about him. Hey, aren't the orphans are usually searching for information about their parents? They want to know who their parents are, right? Maybe there's some who are did not care about it, but still, they usually have asked their nannies in the orphanage.
One day, Prosecutor Gavin asked him about his family,
"Where's your family live, Herr Forehead?"
Apollo's face dropped, and then he answered curtly,
"Somewhere in one side of this world."
And then he turned his face, avoiding eyes-to-eyes with him.
Klavier frowned, his brain work fast to conclude what Apollo said to him, and found the only and unbelievable answer.
Throwing this assumption as far as he can, he tried to randomly change the topic.
"Uh, okay, sorry about that. Well… what's your least favorite day, then?"
Apollo stared at him harshly. "Every day that involves things about family and stuffs like that."
And then he left, leaving the now jaw-dropping Prosecutor Gavin.
Later, one of his 'bad days' came up and it was Mother's Day. Because Trucy didn't know where her mother is (or she thought that her mother is already died), so she considered the day as Father's Day because she doesn't have mommy to celebrate with.
And that day, she found something strange. Apollo was nowhere to be found, and he did not answer Trucy's call to his phone.
Later she became worried, and finally asked her daddy, "Where's Polly? I haven't seen him yet today!"
The ex-defense attorney patted her head. "Don't worry sweetie, I'm sure that he's just busy so he didn't showed up today."
"Okay, if you say so…"
To be honest, he's also wanted to know where Apollo is and what is he doing now. So Phoenix searched for him but Trucy is right, he's nowhere to be found.
The rain soon came, and he decided to stop his research for a while and then rest below one of a tree in People Park.
This is when something—or someone caught his sight.
On one of an old cradle, sitting there was Apollo staring on the ground; he was soaking wet but looks like he did not even care about it.
Phoenix wanted to approach him, telling him to go back to the agency before he got sick, but something prevents him on doing that. What in the world is he doing there?
Soon, he came with a conclusion about what was Apollo doing there.
At first, he was unable to see it, but now he knew.
Among those drops of water that soaked his face, there are tears streaming down to his face from both of his strong brown eyes.
He was hiding his cry within the rain.
And Phoenix couldn't help but feel sorry for him for not telling him the truth.
