Hello, I'm Wicked Falcon and I fairly new to the Star Wars scene of writing. So please be gentle when you review.
Disclaimer: I own nothing but this little subplot. The characters belong to Lucas and I am in no way making money from this.
Such Small Things
Positioning himself upon the cushions before drawing in a deep breath to clear the conflicting emotions that he was feeling. Lowering his eyelids as he rest his hands upon his knees and regulated his rate of breathing to reflect that he was starting his mediation. Reaching his senses out as he flicked through each emotion that was currently battling for dominance within his heart. His life had not become any easier when he had reached that fateful age when he started the process of changing from a boy into a man. Struck in the limbo between, as he snapped his teeth shut and growled before opening his eyes.
"It's not working, Master." Anakin almost bellowed from the mediation room.
"Patience, my young padawan." Obi-Wan chuckled from the sitting area. His attention focusing upon the data pad held within his hands.
"I have patience." Anakin pouted as he crossed his arms before stalking out to flop upon the couch.
"Indeed, you do." Kenobi quirked an eyebrow as he stared at his very young apprentice. His own mind briefly touched upon the difficulty that he had with his youth.
"I do." Anakin snapped out as he turned his head. He was feeling out of sorts with today.
"We can see that." Obi-Wan huff a breath out as he put the data pad down. It would seem that he was not going to get anymore studying done this day. He folded his arms as he leant back upon the cushions. "What do you suggest we do about this aggravation that is currently plaguing you?"
"You have a way with words." Anakin spoke as he turned his head a little to gaze at the slightly older man besides him.
"So I have been told." Obi-Wan smiled at the small compliment. "Maybe we should look at something that could relax your mind and, in turn, your turbulent emotions."
"And what do you suggest, Master?" Anakin rolled his eyes.
"I was thinking about going to the hanger." Obi-Wan smiled as his apprentice perked up at this suggestion.
"Are we going to look at the next fighter?" Anakin almost bounced on his seat, realising at the last possible moment that it was behaviour unbefitting a fifteen year old padawan learner.
"If it helps. It seems that I am unable to continue my studies and you are unable to quell your mind." Obi-Wan shook his head. The boy constantly needed to be on the move. This was most likely from his upbringing, Master Kenobi reflected as he stood up from the cushions. Making his way over to where his cloak was hanging before he flicked it up and around on his shoulders. "Are you coming, Padawan Skywalker?"
"I do believe that I am, Master Kenobi." Anakin smirk pulled into a one sided smile as he made his way over to put his cloak on as well. He bowed at his waist slightly as he waited with some patience for his master to exit the room. It was small things like this that made him glad that Obi-Wan Kenobi was his mentor.
