Merlin, slightly taken aback, only raised his eyebrows. Merlin had just offed a few bandits and had been caught... by everyone. "Excuse me?" Was all he said. "I said run!" He ordered. He searched the faces of all the knights standing behind their enraged king, before returning his gaze back to Arthur. "That would be a rather major inconvenience, for me that is, I also think you'd find it a slight inconvenience to yourself" "And why would that be?" spit flew everywhere. "Well I don't know what you think, but in my opinion, it would be rather hard to rule a kingdom whilst being dead" "Run or I'll run you through!" he pointed his sword at Merlin. "And here we reach a problem, you see, in my experience - and I've had quite a bit of experience with this - it's rather difficult to kill an immortal, by all means, this is a complaint. But go ahead attempt to run me through" he smiled, though internally he was screaming and running and crying and oh lord that is slightly embarrassing to think about. With a cry of rage, Arthur lunged forward only to find that his manservant had definitely dogged the attack as if it were nothing more than another goblet. This continued for a while. Merlin with his hands behind his back and Arthur lunging around after him waving his sword around wildly. Gawain turned to Percival who was also watching the display. "Do you think we should intervene?" he questioned, Percival just shrugged. After a few minutes of this Merlin finally, with a disappointed sigh, retaliated. Sticking his foot out the king didn't notice until he was face down in the mud. "Feeling better, Sire?" Merlin asked in his, somehow, naturally discourtesy way, when addressing the young king. Arthur got up and wiped the mud from his face, grumbling. "Back to Camelot, then" with that, he got up and they all headed for Camelot. Within a month - much quicker than Merlin had accepted - magic was legal again, for the most part anyway. And Merlin was named court sorcerer. /span/span/p
