Kramer: Pilot
It was a nice day in May of 1999. Cosmo Kramer is happy, because he is being released from Massachusetts State Prison today. We go to Kramer collecting his belongings. He is set to freedom. His pals Jerry, George and Elaine were transferred to different facilities, so he doesn't know where to look for them. He walks past the spot where he and his friends were arrested a year ago, and smiles and laughs. He approached the Latham Greyhound station.
"One ticket to the New York Port Authority, please", said Kramer as he took out his wallet. "That'll be 21.50", the clerk said. Kramer pulled out a 20, a 1, and 2 quarters. He thanks the ticket person, and gets on the bus. When on the bus, he finds himself next to none other than Keith Hernandez. Of course, Hernandez doesn't recognize him at first, until Kramer reminds him of the spitting incident of 1987. "Oh, that's right, Kramer! Hey how's your friend Jerry?" asked Keith. Kramer said "fine", avoiding embarrassment. The bus arrives at the Port Authority, and Keith and Kramer shake hands and part ways. Kramer takes a subway to W 81st St.
He gets to his apartment building, only to find out his apartment was given away, and his belongings were given to Newman. So, Kramer makes his way to apartment 5E, only to find Newman's former co-worker Chuck has moved in. Kramer asked Chuck what happened to Newman, and Chuck replied "The lucky bastard won the transfer to Hawaii that he has been wanting". Kramer thanks Chuck for his information, and heads down to the New York Public Library. He finds a Honolulu phone book, and finds Newman's number. Kramer proceeds to the nearest phone, and calls Newman. "Hello?" says Newman. "It's Kramer! What happened to my stuff?" Kramer ordered. "I gave it to charity (laughs, indicating he kept it for himself)" said Newman. Kramer said "Thanks a lot, buddy (sarcastically)" and slams the phone down on the hook.
He wondered around the streets lonely, and stumbles to Harlem. He walks into an inner-city school to use a bathroom. He gets pulled aside by the principal. "You must be Mr. Pennypacker, the new teacher". Kramer tries to give his true identity, but thinks about it, and accepts. It is currently after school, so the students are not in the classroom, obviously. Him and the principal agree and shake hands. Shortly after, Kramer leaves. He sees an old flame on the subway to Manhattan, and she apparently wants to go to bed with him. Kramer gratefully accepts an offer to stay the night.
The next day, Kramer gets up and heads out to start his teaching gig. He takes the subway to Harlem. He walks inside the school, and is greeted by a fellow teacher, named Laquesha. She shows him around the school and they strike up a meaningful friendship. It is time to start class, and Laquesha leaves.
