This is a short drabblish thing I've had bouncing in my head since watching The Pain In The Heart. Jacks POV, spoilers for The Pain In The Heart.

As soon as he got the results from the analysis being run by the GC mass-spec and cross referenced them with locations in the city, he knew. All the pieces fell into place in his mind. He spent a good five minutes sitting at his station, mentally kicking himself for missing the obvious, before taking the results to Cam.
At the hospital, he hit the morphine button to stop Zack from talking, because he was afraid of what his friend was going to say. Even though he already knew, he wasn't ready to hear it. And he wanted to protect Angela for as long as he could.
Later, long after Zack had confessed and the team goes their separate ways from the Jeffersonian, he lay awake thinking.
Sweet's is probably blowing up twelve-year-olds on X-box live while he analyzes his previous analysis and wonders where he missed some vital clue.
Lord only knows what Cam is doing, but he hopes she's not alone with her anger and dissapointment and guilt.
Booth and Brennan are probably together, doing God knows what. He agrees with Angela that those two should just hook up already, but tonight is definitely not the night for it. Hopefully Booth is keeping Brennan sane, and vice-versa.
And him? Jack Hodgins lay awake in bed holding onto the most beautiful woman in the world, wondering if he turned his friend into a monster.
