"Cut, cut! What are you doing? Are you trying to give me an ulcer! Let's do that scene over."
"Sorry Shelby," The scorned actress apologized.
"What did I tell you about the first name basis thing?" The young director said jokingly. "All right from the top...."
" 'Rachel's Reasons' scene one, act two, in five, four, three, two..."
"Look you wouldn't understand, okay. You're a rich little girl with a silver spoon up your extremities..." The actress portraying Rachel said.
"You don't understand, Rachel. You think everyone's against you and you keep everyone away from you as if they are going to hurt you or something. You need to let people in. Like I have..."
"I don't need your advice, Susan."
"Fine, for now. If you ever do, you know who to talk to...."
Shelby smiled as the scene came to a close. "Cut", She yelled. "Good job. Have a great vacation." Shelby rose from her director's seat and walked to a table at the end of the room. She grabbed a doughnut and poured herself a mug of coffee. She walked out of the set and went into her office. She had to get a few things from there, for spring vacation was in session and she finally had a few days off. 'Rachel's Reasons' was a great success for her. It was one of the top rated shows on the national network. She had written a pilot for the show. It was based on her experiences at Horizon and her life before that. She didn't tell anyone about it. Everyone thought it was just a stroke of inspiration Shelby had gotten. Shelby didn't tell anyone about Horizon, or anything involving her pass life. Things like those are what got directors out of a job these days. She wanted to focus on the future, a bright one, in her opinion. After she consumed the doughnut, she walked to a cardboard box she had previously brought there and grabbed it. Leaning it against her hips she grabbed all her files, important documents and valuables. She then placed the box down on her leather chair and went to the bottom drawer of her desk. She opened it gently and grabbed a picture frame from under a sheet of paper. Within it, there was a picture of Shelby standing next to Scott in a beach. They looked so happy and content and most of all in love. It's a picture Shelby cherished and always carried with her. It was all she had of that memory, Of Scott. She put the picture in the box and walked out of the warm room, frowning.
