Totally random. I've wanted to write this ever since I read that interview with Nomura. He said while reading the king's letter, Sora had a confused look on his face, Kairi looked worried and Riku was smirking. What could that letter be all about?
Title: Letter from the King
Author: Minty
Rating/Warning: Shounen-ai. And weird randomness
Pairing: RikuxSora
'So what was that gate of light all about then?'
Sora glanced over at him.
Riku was staring off into the distance. He likes to do that a lot recently. Kinda makes you wonder if a part of his heart is still asleep, waiting to be awakened…
'Well --'
Riku jumped off the tree he was sitting on and faced Sora, a smile playing on his lips. Well-- if he can pull that face, he's probably fine.
'It's something that's been with you all this time.'
Sora tilted his head a little -- just a little. It took him a few seconds to realize that Riku was actually answering his question. The taller boy rolled is eyes at his friend's questioning look and tapped the other boy's chest.
'It's this.'
'…This?' Sora blushed. Alright, the cheesiest thing Riku has ever said to him has to be this. Forget all that "I can only think of you in the darkness" crap. This has to be the real deal. He looked up and peeked into Riku's eyes. The other boy was still smiling, and Sora smiled back.
Well? Tackle me! Pull me into your arms! Push me against the tree or --
Sora let his imagination run wild. Before long, his adventure with Riku into the unknown was interrupted by a loud shriek.
'Sora!! Riku!!'
'Kairi!' Damn her! Sora turned to his other childhood friend. 'What happened?' It'd better be something important.
She stopped to catch her breath and held out a bottle. Inside was a rolled up piece of paper with three large circles printed on it.
'This.'
'From the King?'
The Hero of our story grabbed the bottle away from her, and without another word, he unrolled the letter and started reading, with the other two gathering at his sides.
'Dear Sora,
It's been a while since I've spoken to you. Donald and Goofy are doing fine.
Guess what? After the worlds were reformed, we're now planet neighbours! If you look up and see that weird castle like thing in the sky, that'd be me and my pals, staring down at you.
Oh right, before I forget. Sora, you'd better confess some time soon because knowing Riku he'd just tease you until you cry. That time when I was watching you two sitting on the beach alone, I thought that would have been the perfect moment, but no, you were too dense to realise it.
Also, Kairi, if you just give them some time alone together I'm sure it'd work out. Besides, you'd better start working on your lines for breaking uniform rules.
Well! We'll meet again the next time someone threatens to destroy the universe.
Until then I'll watch you from my bedroom window.
Love,
King Mickey.'
Sora folded the letter slowly and the three friends looked at each other with one word on their minds.
Stalker.
Ok.. That letter could have been a lot funnier.. But I tried..
