Jana, Rhydian, Maddy, Shannon and Tom are getting ready to go to the party.

~Shannon's POV~

"Ugh, do we have to go to this party," I say, "I've got to do some research on the science of birds."

"You, Shannon Kelly, are the most geekiest geek in the universe!" teases Maddy, pushing my shoulder. Ow, I thought, but I giggled.

"Scared, are we?" Tom says, as the pack teasingly make eerie noises.

"I think it'll be fun." Says Rhydian.

~Jana's POV~

"I don't know, what is Jimi going to be like? Is he going to prank everyone?" I said, blushing.

"Who cares about Jimi?" says Maddy, "we're going to have fun." I could sense Tom and Shannon

thought something was going on, so I growled quietly.

~Tom's POV~

Jana growls quietly. Me and Shannon exchange looks.

"I don't even like Jimi!" Jana says out of the blue storming out. "I'm going to do my hair and makeup as Shannon taught me.

"What was all that about?" Rhydian asks.

"It isn't even a new moon!" Maddy chimes in.

Me and Shannon exchange glances again.

"Hm." We both say.

~Rhydian's POV~

"Hm." Tom and Shannon chorus.

"Should I go check on her?" I say. "It's nearly time to go."

"Yeah, maybe you should, I'll come with you." Maddy gives me a comforting smile.

I take her hand and we go to Jana, putting on her makeup and doing her hair.

"Jana, it's time to go," Maddy says. Jana growls at us, her yellow eyes gleaming, baring her teeth. Maddy squeezes my hand in unexpected fright, a human emotion Maddy hadn't experienced before. She hugs me tight while whispering, "Sorry," I reply "It's fine"

"Look, if it's about Jimi-" I get interrupted by Jana growling again and her saying,

"Don't even mention that name!" She finishes doing her hair and makeup, and I see she is changed into a small tight black dress. I wonder how Maddy would look in- anyway.

"Let's go" she scowls, grabs her coat and sprints out of the door.

~Maddy's POV~

Wow. I experienced fear for the first time! Maybe it was just a reason to hug- ugh Maddy no! I wonder what's up with Jana. That sweet- Rhydian interrupts my daze by saying,

"Let's get Tom and Shannon, we need to go."

"Okay" I say. We go- still holding hands –to get Tom and Shannon.

"Jana stormed out again, I think she's waiting in the entrance hall." Says Rhydian.

"Ugh, but we don't want her wolfing out in this party. Goodness knows what will happen!" I say, flustered.

"She won't. Tom and I will make sure, won't we, Tom?" says Shannon. Thank goodness she's my best friend!

"Yep." Tom says. We all group hug and make our way downstairs.

I say to Rhydian, "Please don't let go of my hand," Wow. Where did that come from? Rhydian squeezes my hand.

"We're a pack, remember? I'll protect you closely just in case." He gives me a warm smile. I feel a feeling I've never felt before. We meet Jana in the entrance hall.

~Jana's POV~

I don't know what's going through my head right now. All I can think of is Jimi! I don't even want to think about him.

"Sorry guys. All I can think about is Jimi and it's annoying me right now." I put on my coat and walk awkwardly on my new heels out the door. The group exchange "what did she just say?" glances and leave with her.
