Author's Note: I don't own anything except the character you've never heard
of. Everything else is property of the lovely J.K. Rowling. Sorry, this
chapter is a little scratchy, I wasn't sure how to begin it. But I promise
it'll get much better! xo, Jen
"I don't know if I could ever fully describe her." He told me. He had white hair now. Falling out and thin. If she could only see him now, of course, she would take a puff of her cigarette and smile sweetly, her eyes soft and her lips puckered then she would laugh. "Are you listenin' to me boy?" I snap out of it.
"Yeah, sorry. Please, go on." It's hard to look at him. I don't know why. I never spent a lot of time with him. He doesn't even know who I am.
"Yeah, well. I loved her. Despite all the Alcohol and Spells. She was like a child. She needed someone, so did I. She inspired me. She made me live. That morning when I heard she died. God. I couldn't think straight." He chuckles, "The sad part was that she died alone. She was born alone. She lived alone, she loved alone, she cried alone, and she died alone. She wasn't a bad person you know."
"I know."
"She was just, never given a chance I guess. Just very alone, with no one."
I clear my throat; this is hard, "Yes, do you have any special memories with her?"
"Boy, every day was a memory."
"Well, can you name one thing?"
He laughs, and then picks up his cup of coffee. He looks at me, and I look away, "How about the first day I met her?"
"That'll be just fine."
The sky was a bit grayer than usual. Either it was the weather or it was the hangover I had. I was in my sixth year at Hogwarts. The greatest Wizarding school this side of Europe, but anyways. I was barely able to walk out of my dorm when Professor Snape, my potions teacher, grabbed me by the ear and kind of helped me down the stairs to breakfast. Ok maybe he didn't help me, but he sure did get me down the stairs quickly.
"Malfoy, I would be the last one to tell you what to do." He said, looking at me coldly. The way he looked when he spoke to Potter, yeah that Potter. The famous Harry Potter. But anyway, "But your grades have been dropping. You've been arriving to class five minutes before you have to go to your next class. You've been getting in more fights than that Weasley scum. Malfoy, drop the alcohol. It's not doing you any good."
"Yes Professor Snape. Right away." Then I walked away. Of course, I listened to him, but it was hard to hear him, there was such a racket inside where everyone was eating. And at the center of it was her.
Olivia Laaiqah Birminghamm. She had blond hair and violet eyes she was Lebanese and Welsh. But you would never guess her Lebanese Father was hers. She had style, and was cunning, smart and interesting. She was everything that every other girl in Hogwarts wasn't. I fought my way to the crowd and sat down next to her. I smiled and winked at her, but to my dismay, she forced a smile and went back to talking to some fourth year. I spoke up.
"Hey, Olivia I'm Draco. Draco Malfoy, of course you've heard of me."
She looked at me and smiled faintly then nodded, "Yeah, I've heard of you." I smile, "What do you want?"
Totally Blown off. Yeah. I was upset. But Draco Malfoy doesn't give up easily.
"So wait a minute."
"What now?"
"You met her at school? I always thought."
"I had known her forever. When we were kids she fancied me, but I blew her off, I was too busy with my toy wands for her."
"Oh"
"Yeah, want to interrupt me again?"
"No, no please continue."
"Alright then."
So what do you think so far R&R is highly appreciated!! Next chapter to be up real soon!
