A day full of surprises
Daphne woke up to a noise down stairs. Velma must be up already she thought. So she got dressed, brushed her hair and teeth and made for the stairs. As she was going down the stairs she could hear voices whispering. "SURPRISE!" shouted the voices of Fred, Velma, Shaggy and Scooby "HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAPHNE!" Daphne was so shocked! She had completely forgotten it was her birthday. Her friends had gone through so much trouble for her their where happy birthday banners hanging up and strimers and of course balloons. Scooby ran over and gave Daphne a hug and said "rappy birthday Raphne".
"Thank you, you guys you're amazing!" Daphne said while tears of happiness felled her eyes. Everyone came and gave her a hug and her presents. Velma got her some books and a water stones voucher. Shaggy and Scooby got her a next and Jane Norman voucher with £25 on them each. Fred got Daphne the most gorgeous dress with matching shoes and a bag. It was amazing! They lead Daphne into the kitchen where there was a big birthday cake with Happy Birthday Daphne written on it. Then the doorbell rang "I'll get it" Fred said quickly. Velma said that if Daphne didn't mind they were going to light some candles Daphne said that would be great. They walked back into the front room and SURPRISE"!" The room was crowded with people and dogs for that matter. Daphne felt the tears coming back to her eyes. Her mum and dad where their Fred, Velma, Shaggy and Scooby's family where their too. She know understood why last week Fred asked what she wanted to do for her birthday and if she wanted to meet up with anyone. Her parents came and gave her a hug. It was august and they hadn't seen each other since Christmas. Fred put some music on and turned the volume up. They all had a blast! Daphne wished that her parents where more up to date with the music because they wanted to listen to the beetles which Daphne found embarrassing. Sometimes she wished she had a brother or sister but she was happy with her life anyway. After the party Velma, Shaggy and Scooby went into the kitchen to wash up and Velma called Fred over to talk to her. "Do you know what would make Daphne's birthday even better? You telling her how you really feel." Velma said to Fred.
"I want to tell her but...I...I'm scared. If she doesn't feel the same way I have just gone and embarrassed myself in front of her!" Fred replied in a whisper.
"If you don't tell her you don't stand a chance. If you do tell her you guys may even have a future! It's your choice." Velma said this then went back to washing up.
Fred went into the front room. "Daph I need to talk to you." Fred said. They sat down on the sofa. "I don't know how to tell you this but....ermm....well I....ermm....love you!" Daphne lent forward and gave Fred a small kiss which soon transformed into a passionate kiss. Velma and shaggy where about to go into the front room when they sore Fred and Daphne kissing. So they just stayed in the kitchen for a while. "I love you too Freddie" Daphne said when they finally broke apart.
"Really?" Fred said shocked.
"Of course!" Daphne replied. Then everyone else came in the front room and Velma gave Daphne and Fred a hug strait away and said "Congratulations!"
"Congratulations on what?" Fred asked
"You finally told each other how you feel." Velma replied.
"How do you know?" Daphne asked
"Well... me and shaggy sore you kissing" Velma told them. Daphne went bright red! Velma giggled when she saw how red Daphne had gone. They all watched a film before going to bed. Daphne voted it the best birthday ever by far!
