I glared at the sign of my new school from inside my car. Forks High School, how lame is that? I hadn't even lived in Forks for a week and I already despised it.

I got out of my car and headed into the reception.

"Hello dear, what can I do for you?" The cheery receptionist asked me.

"I'm...um...new here. Edward Masen."

"Ahh, yes. I'll get your map and forms"

The receptionist gave me a map of the school and a few forms for my teachers to sign.

"Thanks," I muttered.

The lunch bell had just gone, and this girl Jessica kept following me.

"So...whatcha doin' next Friday night?" Jessica asked me.

"Um...nothing. Why?" I asked her.

"Oh, I was wondering if you wanted to go to Spring Dance with me..." she replied.

"Erm...sorry I'm going out of town that weekend, and won't be here," I said.

She didn't talk to me after that.

A guy called Mike was talking to me and he seemed nice enough. When we got to the cafeteria, a group of people walked in.

"Who are they?" I asked Mike.

"Oh, that's the Cullen's and the Hale's. They kinda keep to themselves," he answered.

The muscly guy was holding hands with the beautiful blonde girl and they sat down at a table. Then another guy walked in with a tiny girl with black spiky hair who was also beautiful. Then a girl followed them. She had long, mahogany hair and beautiful golden eyes. She was definitely the most beautiful girl I had ever seen in my whole life.

"Who is that?" I stared at the girl.

"That is Isabella Cullen," Mike said. "The big muscly guy is Emmett Cullen and his girlfriend is the hot blonde, Rosalie Hale. Rosalie has a twin brother called Jasper Hale, who is the blonde dude and he goes out with the cute girl with the black hair called Alice Cullen. They are all adopted by Dr. Carlisle Cullen and his wife Esme Cullen.

"Isabella sure is beautiful," I said.

"Yup, and every guy wants her."

"So the Cullen's are related?" I asked.

"Well, Alice and Isabella are sisters and they are Esme's nieces and Emmett is Dr. Cullen's nephew. The Hale's are their cousins" Mike answered.

"I see."
