I haven't written anything OUAT/Snowing in a while and I found this in my documents half finished. It's only short, as I wanted to know if you think I should carry it on or if you like the idea.

Chapter One

Mary Margaret couldn't believe the news she had just been giving in the letter that had arrived first thing through the rectangular shaped letterbox. It had came out of the blue and completely unexpected. She re-read the letter in her head at first, then out loud, just making it sure it was true.

Dear Miss Mary Margaret,

The company would like you to take up a position that is a matter of urgency in a town called Storybrooke. All the details on how to get there are attached below and a pay slip to provide your move has already been sent to your bank.

Thank you,

The company director.

The words still didn't make sense. She had only been working with the said company for a few months. The woman who had found her lying beside the motorway several years ago had taken her in without a second thought and had noticed her loving and caring nature. It was her who recommended her to the company and she was immediately accepted.

"Storybrooke?" She repeated. She had never heard of such a town called Storybrooke before. it sounded almost fictional in her mind.

A part of her wanted to take up this opportunity, she had forgotten her entire life before she was found, and nothing existed anymore. The doctors at the hospital told her that she had broken her arm when she was younger, detected by several scans during her stay. This was all she knew about herself other than her completion.

Only a month later she was released from the hospital. Her physical wounds were healed but the emotional ones were very much still raw. The woman who saved her had set her up in a small bedsit above a grocery store downtown. She had given her enough furniture and a small allowance to get her started, even giving her a small old car that looked like it was ready to break down at any given second. The woman had asked for nothing in return except that she took the job she proposed. Mary Margaret agreed, it was the least she could do.

Before she could change her mind she began to pack, throwing everything she owned into two largish bags and putting them in the trunk of the car. Breathing deeply she climbed into the driving seat and pressed the gas pedal before she could stop and go back inside.

"Storybrooke here I come…" She said, saying goodbye to the only place she'd considered 'home'.
