This is just a silly drabble of mine, but I hope you'll enjoy.
Feedback is welcome, as always.
Oh, yeah. And I don't own it.

Sigh No More
Only foul words, and thereupon I will kiss thee.
Ryan Evans didn't like William Shakespeare.
No, he despised William Shakespeare.
Sometimes, he even hated William Shakespeare.
He disliked all those lofty, silly words even Ms Darbus didn't understand, but never mentioned that.
Ryan Evans disliked it, when someone made him act to Shakespeare's plays.
He despised every comedy, every "My Lord"s and all of "What hast thou?"s.
And most of all, Ryan Evans hated Shakespeare tragedy.

Much to everybody's surprise, Chad Danforth kind of liked William Shakespeare.
Not the guy himself, of course. He sometimes thought that good old Bill must have been mentally ill to write such things.
He really liked some of the plays, though.
Not that he actually understood a word of it. No, not really. The words sounded pretty weird and he still wasn't sure, what did "hast" or "thee" mean, not mentioning the wicked syntax or the metaphors.
What did ships and river had to do with a man's character, really?
He would bet that even Ms Darbus didn't get it.
To be honest, Chad Danforth has never read a whole play written by William Shakespeare. Any of them.
He enjoyed the movie based on one of those and would be very happy to remember the title, but no such luck.
There was a reason he liked it, though.
He was shallow, and he knew that.
But, really, it was ALL Shakespeare's fault. Really. All of it.
All of the Ryan-mess. Rymess, in short.
Because, you see, it was that one day when they were supposed to learn some lines from some tragedy. He wasn't paying attention until Ryan and Sharpay stood up and performed the whole scene from the play in front of the class.
And Ryan was just so cute, when he was frustrated and confused at the same time and Chad found it amusing that he still didn't know if Ryan was frustrated and confused because the scene itself demanded such behaviour or was it his own feelings.
When Ryan swore under his breath after the performance, Chad just chuckled.
-
"I hate Shakespeare," Ryan sighed with irritation.
"And I just totally adore him," Chad just answered and kissed Ryan on the cheek. "Especially the tragedies."
When Ryan blushed, Chad giggled.
Maybe he would be able to convince Ryan to Shakespeare one day.

The End.

The quote at the beginning is from "Much Ado About Nothing", my all time favourite of Shakespeare's.
