Captain Alberto Bertorelli had been pacing up and down Colonel Van Strohm's office for the past hour. Lieutenant Gruber and the Colonel were beginning to become irritated. Lt. Gruber sighed "What is the matter Captain?" The Captain stopped pacing and looked at him "Nothing isa matta!" The Colonel was not impressed "You've been walking like a headless chicken all morning. You're acting stranger than normal!" Bertorelli rolled his eyes "I ama just a wonderinga what the Generalli and the beautyfulla Helga are a up to!"

The Colonel looked at him "What do mean 'Wondering what they getting up to!'" Lt. Gruber spoke up "Actually I have wondered that myself but…" The Colonel was not impressed "What do you mean?... No, no, surely you are not suggesting what I think you are suggesting!" The Captain and Lt. Gruber looked at each other before Gruber replied "Well, Colonel, do you not find it funny how Helga is now permanently at the Château?" Alberto then spoke up "and how the Generalli isa lot nicer whena he comes here!" The Colonel growled "It's a coincidence, nothing more and do not suggest that my niece is sleeping with the General!'' The two officers looked at each other than at him; there was no point in arguing.

About three months ago it was discovered that Helga's mother: Conradina was the sister to Colonel Kurt Strohm; when a letter was sent by her to her brother asking him to look out for her daughter. However the Colonel was shocked when in the letter it said the child's name was Helga Geerhart. The two had spent time getting to know one another and Helga gained the uncle/ man-figure that she had needed as a child and The Colonel had become protective of Helga and often showed favouritism and affection towards her.

Meanwhile at the Château two sleeping officers began to wake up:

General van Klinkerhoffen had just begun to open his eyes and wake up for the day. He suddenly felt something soft and warm touch him looking to his left he found Helga looking at him with a loving gaze and her hand caressed his cheek. Smiling he pulled her closer and wrapped his arms around her whilst his lips found their way to hers. Ending the kiss he laid down on his back with her head on his chest as his fingers played with her hair. "Good morning General…" she spoke softly. He sighed in content "Good morning Helga. I suppose that we better get up".

She sat up "I suppose so, we are already quite late for work" she jumped off the bed and began to dress until she felt two arms embrace her. Leaning into the embrace she enjoyed the pleasure of his kisses on her neck. "Last night was very enjoyable Helga. I just wanted to let you know that I love you… I really do love you." Helga's heart skipped a beat as she turned around to face him "I love you too" before kissing him passionately. The knock at the door caused them to break apart "I'll be out in a moment!" the General called. Helga quickly finished dressing before kissing the General good-bye. "I'll see you tonight General?" she asked.

He chuckled "Helga please call me by my first name Eric and I would give anything to see you!" he kissed her good bye as they both left the Chateau to quickly get to their offices and to think of really good excuses as to why they were late and Eric had to think of a way to get The Colonel to give him his blessings to pop the question to Helga.
