"Munch, Liv; Stabler and I are going out tonight, want to come with?"
"You and Elliot? Aw, how sweet. I always knew it would happen eventually," Quips Munch, shooting Olivia a quick glance that only she catches.
"Damnit Munch, you know what I mean. Melinda and Casey are coming too." Replies Fin impatiently.
"Ah, I see, so you're giving us a pity invitation to your sappy little double date?" Questions Olivia rhetorically with a small smirk.
"Interdepartmental relationships," Scoffs Munch, amused. "The key part of that phrase being mental. It's charming, really, how many boundaries you four will cross for the sake of love." He drawls dryly, and Olivia snorts, because only she gets his very deliberate use of irony.
"Consider it an act of courtesy," retorts Fin, "we don't have to bring you two lonely clowns along."
"Fin, we should be insulted, who says we don't both have someone to go home to?" Asks Olivia, smirking still. Munch looks at her fondly, to make their point.
"I mean, a beautiful...smart woman like her? Come on, Fin, really."
"- and with a charming smile and witty sense of humor like his?" They both shake their heads at him simultaneously, but the poor soul still doesn't catch on. Olivia is resisting a case of the giggles at this point, so Munch jumps back into their little game.
"But sure," He begins, like talking to a small child, "we'll go, even though we're not at all lonely." He nudges Olivia on the shoulder, "Hey, maybe we'll even spice up their night a bit, right dear?"
"Uh-huh" Olivia manages in something close to a hiccup of laughter.
"Alright," Scoffs Fin, throwing his hands in the air, "I don't even wanna know."
The funniest thing to both lovers though, is that he doesn't know already. So they keep on laughing until he storms off without another word.
