Petunia saw the look of agony on Lily's face before she heard that loud crack as her sister fell against the waxed wood of the roller rink, followed quickly by a pained cry. Big crocodile tears streamed down the girls cheeks as she held her left wrist gingerly to her chest. Panic rushed through Petunia as all of the reasons that her parents would blame her for this raced through her mind.

Reaching down and grabbing Lily by the back of the shirt, she roughly lifted the girl onto her feet. The tiny wheels on the bottom of Lily's skates rolled unsteadily behind her sister, who had yet to let go of her as she led them off the rink. "You just had to be a freak and ruin everything!" Petunia cursed as she found their things and shoved Lily down onto the bench, "Get your shoes on while I find Vernon."

Lily whimpered as she tried vainly to stop her tears, sniffling as she used her one good hand to untie the laces on her skates. After she had toed them off, she removed the disposable socks that she had been given and slipped on her flats. A growl of anger came from the right and Lily flinched as Vernon walked up to her, red in the face.

"She looks fine to me Petunia," He reached out and took hold of her injured wrist, bringing a scream from her mouth. Jerking back quickly he glared away the attention from the other patrons. "Let's go then." Petunia, who had already changed into her shoes, took Lily by the shoulder and dragged her out of the building.

Before they got into the car she turned on her sister with a glare, "Now you listen her you little freak, you will let me do the talking when we get home or I'll make sure you don't see that freaky friend of yours for the rest of the summer." Lily nodded, the tears that were finally drying from her eyes began falling anew as she was then shoved to the back seat. On the way home all she could think of was how Petunia had kicked her skate out of under her.
