-Ange: Kabaji needs more loving so I made this random pairing. I put Gakuto and Jiroh as the same grade level. Not sure if that's correct or not though. Well anyways think of this as an early Jiroh birthday fic. Jiroh makes an awesome Cinco de Mayo baby. Enjoy!

Disclaimer: I want a mini Jiroh as my own…

My Kabaji

Jiroh woke up to the face of Atobe staring down at him as he attempted to wake him up.

-

"You're not Kabaji," Jiroh accused his captain as he sat up and rubbed the sleep out of his eyes.

-

"I should hope not," Atobe replied, "you should be honored that Ore-sama went out of his way to wake you up."

-

Atobe pulled at Jiroh's arm when he noticed him trying to go back to sleep again, "Enough of that," he ordered, "now hurry up and follow me. Practice is about to start."

-

With reluctance Jiroh followed Atobe.

-

Where was Kabaji?

-

"You're not Kabaji either," Jiroh complained after being rudely woken up yet again.

-

"He left with Atobe after practice," Oshitari explained, "now hurry up. I'm late for my date with Gakuto."

-

Jiroh sighed but obeyed.

-

No Kabaji today either.

This time it was Gakuto who interrupted his sleep.

-

"Lunch is over now Jiroh," he ordered, "so hurry or you're going to be late for our next class."

-

"It doesn't matter," Jiroh reasoned, "you're not Kabaji anyways."

-

Gakuto knitted his brows in confusion before ignoring the comment, "Well it's not my fault if you get in trouble then." Gakuto rushed off. Perhaps if he hurried he'll be able to see Oshitari.

-

Jiroh closed his eyes and slipped back into his dream.

-

In this dream Kabaji was the one waking him up.

-

With eyes still closed Jiroh felt the face of the person struggling to wake him up. They weren't wearing classes so it couldn't be Oshitari. They had short hair too. Feeling their arms they were muscular.

-

It had to be Kabaji!

-

Full of excitement Jiroh sprang up.

-

"Kabaji!"

-

"Wrong," an annoyed Shishido corrected.

-

"Eh," a disappointed Jiroh replied, "when did you cut your hair?"

-

"If you don't remember then you don't deserve to know the answer," Shishido answered gruffly.

-

Shishido left Jiroh to join Choutarou who was waiting for him so that they could walk home together.

-

Jiroh sighed feeling neglected.

-

All he wanted was Kabaji.

Jiroh woke up tossed over the shoulder of a very muscular and very familiar person.

-

"Kabaji," he exclaimed as he sought to find a more comfortable position in the tennis player's arms, "It's really you!"

-

"Usu," his friend agreed.

-

Even though Kabaji never said much that didn't matter to Jiroh as he started up a one sided conversation with him.

-

"It was terrible," he complained, "everyone kept waking me up but it wasn't ever you."

-

Jiroh bellowed out a big yawn, this week's stress now catching up to him. He closed his eyes, secure in the heavy bands of Kabaji's arms.

-

"Kabaji," Jiroh said as he drifted off to sleep, now that he's no longer plagued by the worries about his missing friend, "don't ever leave me alone again, ok?"

-

"Usu."
