Josuke watched as Koichi wrote down the answers to the test questions, eyes narrowed in thought. The look fit the short boy quite well and he didn't think anything else would show how smart Koichi was better. While time ticked on, Josuke continued to scrutinize every little detail of Koichi's face that the brunette boy could. Rohan could probably draw them with flawless ease. But enough about that shitty mangaka. While Koichi inevitably progressed through the test, Josuke decided on starting 20 minutes before class ended. A mockingbird would imitate the tune of the school bell everyday, 20 minutes before class ended. That would be the go sign for Josuke to actually start doing his test. But until then, he would watch as the beautiful blue of Koichi's irises scanned the off white paper, speckled with black printed kanji, the flaxen hair that turned the color of burning gold when the sun hid behind clouds. God, he loved that color. As Josuke was about to blink, the mockingbird let out its imitated call. Picking up his mechanical pencil, Josuke turned his violet eyed gaze to the printed paper. But instead of thinking of math problems, his mind was filled with the want of the unattainable and pristine shimmer of burning gold.
