"So…..is this the last time?" said Alice, twiddling her fingers, on a long table.
"Afraid so, Alice." said the white haired man, shuffling cards.
"Why do you have to go anyway?" said the blonde, looking at the dark, stormy clouds coming up ahead.
"There's a chance that my heartless will have been killed, and I can reform into a human once more." said Luxord, tossing the cards into the air, which automatically dealt the cards.
"What if there isn't?" said Alice, shuffling her cards, to make sure Luxord didn't cheat her.
"Then I've run out of luck." said Luxord simply.
"You didn't have any in the first place." said Alice, throwing her cards into the fire.
"Not feeling lucky with that deck?" said Luxord, pulling out another deck of cards.
Alice glared.
"Immature." says Alice, rolling her eyes.
"Incompetent." replies Luxord, pouring down another cup of tea.
Lightning struck.
"Time to go." says Luxord, putting away his deck.
Alice stood up, brushed the dirt from her dress, and said, "How do I get out of here?"
"Oh, just tap your shoes." smirked Luxord, opening a portal of darkness.
"Just kidding." said Luxord, narrowly dodging a teacup thrown by Alice.
"Really." said Alice, tucking some of her hair behind her ear.
"You can't leave. Because this is your home." said Luxord, tossing her a deck of cards.
"My home….but-" said Alice, catching the deck.
"Listen, you know this place top to bottom. I can't even get through the maze without getting lost a couple times." said Luxord, putting up his hood.
"What are the cards for?" asked Alice, looking at the Nobody sigil.
"Because. If it does work, and I come back to this world, and in some horrible accident, I somehow forget how to play cards, I expect you to teach me." said Luxord, heading into the dark portal.
"Goodbye."
"Ta-ta, Alice."
Alice put the cards on her desk. It began to pour outside, and she looked at the deck of cards.
Looking from top to bottom, she found that it was a completely normal deck. Except for the last card.
It was a picture of Alice smiling, and Luxord glaring and the two of them were playing cards.
The card was the Ace of Spades. Underneath the picture lay the words:
When you are feeling hopeless, and out of luck, always remember: You are the Ace in this game.
