Chapter 1: Missing Links

The TallMan and Kayako awoke in an abandoned paper factory. Both tied to chairs. Both were confused but TallMan was even more so. They were ripped from Fearsome Four HQ and blindfolded to an unknown location. Kayako leaned over to TallMan, whispering to him. "Where are we Tall-San?" TallMan turned his head to her, giving a relaxing response. "I don't know. Don't fret, I'll get us out of here." It was then a tall, even taller than TallMan, appeared in front of them. He was slender and had no face to speak of. "Are you the one we should speak to? TallMan quipped to the Slenderman.

"We… want… you…" It spoke out. Kayako looked over to him in shock. "We… have… been… watching… TallMan… Kayako… Remarkable… warriors…. join…. Us…." The Slenderman spoke. His voice whispering and soft. Kayako stared at the faceless creator in fear. TallMan glared, knowing Ash and Herbert would find a way to save them.

At 112 Ocean Avenue, Ash Williams; fighter of the Deadites and Herbert West; Re-Animator both laid on the floor of the living room unconscious. Ash slowly awoke to se the living room trashed. Kayako and The TallMan nowhere in sight. Ash jumped up and began yelling for them. "Kay! Pops! Anyone!" His yelling awoke Herbert.

"If you could shut up Ash…" Herbert snarked. He looked around the living room in confusion. "Were you partying with sorority girls again?"

Ash rolled his eyes. "Listen West, this wasn't me. Where's Pops?"

"They took them." A small, male voice called out. Ash and Herbert looked to the corner of the room. Seeing a young boy; Toshio Saeki. He never interacted with anyone outside of Kayako. So him telling them that TallMan and Kayako were kidnapped was shocking.

"Oh yeah Tony. Who took them?" Ash asked. Not remembering Toshio's name. The ghost boy rolled his eyes. "They took Mama and The TallMan." Ash and Herbert were shocked at his statement. "Men in faceless masks took Mama and TallMan." Toshio looked up to the two. "One of them have no lips…"

Herbert began thinking. They were going to need help. But who? They fought horrors, not recruit horrors. Ash and Herbert knew it was time for another road trip, and this time they knew they had to find good help. They packed up and got into Ash's Oldsmobile. Just as Ash was about to start the car, he peered into the back to see Toshio. Making both of them jump. "The hell kid!?" Ash asked in surprise.

"I'm going with you." The ghost boy responded. Asha and Herbert looked to each other."Like hell you are. I ain't gonna face Kay when she hears you got hurt by… Harry Warden? I don't know."

Toshio sat still. Not moving. "She's my mom. I wanna be the one to help save her."

Herbert looked back to Toshio. He respected the boys tenacity. "Toshio, Kayako wouldn't be happy if you got hurt. No one out there is as nice as your mother, Ash, TallMan, and I. People like Dr. Lector will try to harm you."

"Lector? What is it you hav against him, Herb?" Ash joked.

Herbert rolled his eyes. Pushing up his glasses. "He called my theory on the 6-12 minute range total crock. He's why I fled to Sweden to learn under Dr. Gruber." The three of them headed out. On the road to save The TallMan and Kayako. Ash flipped through tunes and peering to the ghost boy in the back seat. "You know kid, if you get scared you can always turn back."

Toshio gave him a glare. "No. I need to save Mama."
