A/N: Reviews are love~

--

Pavi runs his fingers over his new face. It's a bit small, as most of the women's faces are when he wears them. It has the too-smooth feel of a chemical treated skin, and he loves the sensation as it whispers beneath his touch. His fingertips play over the mouth, narrow but still luscious even after the preservation. The eyelids, the nose—everything is perfect, everything is the same, just as he remembers it.

He runs a hand over his hair and smiles. The lips curl in unison with his own. Oh, the memories of this face...

Of course, the most recent memory is not a pleasant one: a quick shot of the glow, deft hands manoeuvring a scalpel with practiced motions, slicing and peeling and coveting a treasure. It was unlike him to take the face of a body not yet dead, but he couldn't bear killing her.

It did not cross his mind that shock or blood loss could be just as fatal.

No, his only concern is that he now has this face—beauty, recollections, perfection; all in one.

"I did-a wrong, bambina," he whispers to his vanity mirror. "You left me. But now I-a have you...forever. My love, my bella."

He traces one more finger down his bella's face.

"Mine forever..."
