Eve had watched from her place in the hospital as everyone busied themselves around her. She had felt a bit guilty for lying to them all and pretending to be Zoe. She had seen the loving look in Kim's eyes, the same look she had received from Sarah but she had known that Sarah was telling her the truth. Everyone in Summer Bay was a liar. Even Kim who had told her that he loved her had slept with Hayley and so she went on, pretending to accidentally destroy the people's lives, just as they had destroyed her life by taking Sarah away from her. Now she stood, noting that Sally has run away and attempts to stop the bomb but it is too late. She thinks back to what Sally had said about Sarah losing the will to live. Eve doesn't know what to believe anymore, she is too tired to piece everything she had heard together, but some major facts still stands out in her mind. Was Sarah the one that was lying to her? Are the people of Summer Bay really as caring as she has observed them to be? Did Sarah ever love her? Eve's head screams at her to get a hold of herself before she dies but then, she sees it. There was a little match in her hand, just like the one she had long ago as she set fire to her house, burning everything she had known and loved and feeling satisfied. This end, she knows, is what she deserves and in one last pathetic attempt to disengage the bomb, Eve smiles as tears flowed from her cold hazel eyes, "I'll be with you soon. I love you, Sarah."
