STORY DESCRIPTION
Jaded and abrasive Clementine is sent to Ericson's Boarding School for Troubled Youth after her past tragedies and self-sabotaging escapades accumulate a distasteful attitude. Although hesitant, Lee takes the advice of his not-so-nice wife and insists his adoptive daughter take the school and it's behavioral benefits head on. Forced to leave her beloved father and adoptive brother AJ behind, Clementine is thrust into a world full of outlandish personalities and intense plights where she tries her best to navigate through the turmoil of being considered a "troubled youth." Although opening up and engaging with peers is a struggle at first, it isn't long until a group of strangely bizarre kids break down Clementine's resistance and accept her into their chaotic and impulsive world inside those concrete walls.
AUTHOR'S NOTE
Hey, so I've been writing this story for a while and I'm really pumped to share it with you all. This story features a Clouis romance, but doesn't shy away from a Violentine bromance. So as the story progresses, Clementine's interactions with Violet will become increasingly frequent.
I didn't want to write a story that only pandered to one side of the fandom or had one dimensional depictions of the characters from the game. These characters have character arcs and established plots, so this story will in fact be long and for the most part will not divert from my original plan. However, I am more than happy to take suggestions for interactions, scenes, side-plots as I'd like to have some level of fan-interaction, and I know the fandom has some really great ideas.
There are plenty of callbacks and plot-lines from the game that have been altered to fit the narrative of the AU, this is just a fun little thing I wanted to do to pay homage to the wonderful writers who gave us these characters in the first place. This story is pretty damn detailed when it comes to establishing a whole new and unscathed world without an apocalypse, so this is truly something I hope you all can sink your teeth into.
