Err I don't really know what to say about this. I tried to make it funny. But I don't think it worked.
It was a normal day with normal day problems well normal for the seven mercenaries who walked right now from the battlefield back to the house they stayed in for the time they were hired from the daimyou ruling that area. Having come back to the house there was another normal day problem to solve: Who would have to do the cooking and since Bankotsu was the leader he was doomed to decide who would have to cook. Well now you might say this shouldn't be that hard to decide but indeed it is. And so there poor Bankotsu sat in front of his comrades.
Mukotsu and Ginkotsu were the only exceptions because if some of Mukotsus poisons would get into their meals they'd be in trouble, logically, Ginkotsu could only use one arm to cook so he'd have problems, with the metal on he'd crush all the plates and so on.
Last time he had Kyoukotsu preparing meal. He made beef with a mushroom sauce.
Doesn't sound bad, or does it. The beef was great, the sauce too only the herbs he used to spice the sauce up were poisonous.
"No, better not Kyoukotsu." Bankotsu thought.
He turned to Renkotsu.
Just one thought crossed his mind. "That would be the end of the Shichinintai."
The last time Renkotsu cooked he managed to burn off the whole kitchen the room in which the food was stored, all the food, half of the mansion. Most of his other tries failed similar to this one.
Ok, so you guys might think no problem. It's obvious that Renkotsu can't cook, so he won't cook.
The problem for Bankotsu was that Renkotsu believed that he was the best cook in the world.
How to convince Renkotsu not to cook:
He could fake being deeply impressed by how Renkotsu had done his job today.
(problem caused by this) The others would be more than just pissed off.
Letting Renkotsu cook wasn't an option either the others threatened to leave the Shichinintai if he let Renkotsu cook.
So he simply decided not to say anything to Renkotsu.
His view wandered to Suikotsu normally this would have worked, but not today. Something had happened in the battle before and whatever it was, it had managed to piss Suikotsu extremely off, he didn't tell them what happened. However in that mood Suikotsu wasn't able to cook, but able destroy the plates, bottles, and the chopsticks.
Coming to Jakotsu. He simply didn't like cooking because in his opinion it was womans work. But once convinced to do so he was the best of them all.
To be honest Bankotsu had wanted Jakotsu to cook, but how make him. At that he remembered how his mother always convinced him to do something he didn't really enjoy. She had made him think that he'd enjoy.
"Jakotsu! How about us cooking together?"
Please leave a review. I didn't get any for my last fic!
