Saturday at night Belle closed the library in Storybrook early. Every Saturday night she would flip the sign and turn off the lights. She would sit in the back corner with a small lamp on snuggled into a cozy chair. Her cup of tea steaming as she pulled about a pen and paper. She started writing.
'Belle walked into the Dark Castle's main hallway. Rumple had gone away on business and she had spent the first few days hold up in the Library doing nothing, but reading. She now had one day to put the Castle back in order, which one would think would be fairly easy considering only two people lived there, but the Dark Castle seemed to have a mind of its own and so Belle had her work cut out for her. She finished the kitchen and the dining room before noon. She would save Rumple's bedroom for last because it really shouldn't need much work done to tidy it up. She made her way there with a basket full of dirty wash rags. Her face had ashes splashed across it and her eyes could stay open for more than a few seconds. She entered Rumple's room and her eyes landed on his large cozy looking bed. The basket hit the floor as Belle convinced herself that a short nap before she finished cleaning wouldn't hurt anyone. She slipped off her dirty dress and crawled under the covers. His scent surrounded her as she let her eyes drift shut.'
"What are you writing there, dearie?" Mr. Gold's voice rang from over Belle's shoulder. She jumped dropping the notepad and pen she had been using and knocking over her cup of tea.
"Nothing, I was making a list of books that the library could need." She quickly moved to grab the notepad before Mr. Gold did. Tea seeped into the Library carpet as Belle's cheeks flushed bright red. Mr. Gold's eyes flashed darker as he read the words she had written. He looked up at her after he finished and took a calming breath.
"I know exactly what I would do if I had found you in my bed…" He trailed off as his eyes roamed over her. She gave a small squeak before shoving his arm.
