The Kazanna's Double

Chapter 1: Small girl, alone in the forest

A large demon started chasing a small girl that had wandered into his territory. His evil mind laughed at the child's fright and couldn't wait to taste the girl's flesh. The child screamed for help, but since they were in so deep in the forest nobody could help her or reach her in time.

Child's view

As a small girl walked alone in the forest looking for berries to eat she was unaware that she was being watched. The girl was no older then 5 or 6 and had no protection against demons that could attack. As she walked along realizing she had strayed too far from the village she turned around and started walking back. The demon watching from the shadows decided now was a good time to catch the girl and have her for breakfast the next morning. Now realizing the demon was chasing her she started running towards the village, eyes wide of terror. She looked back only to notice that the demon was gaining and she was running out of strength. Watching the large demon instead of where she was going she tripped on a tree root and fell straight onto her face. As she fell she did the only thing she could, she screamed. Cowering at the face of death she remembered something she could use to protect herself. A mischievous grin spread across her face as she looked at her right hand. She pulled a petal off her flower bracelet. All of a sudden the winds picked up, pulling the trees into the centre of the wind. Then it stopped. Standing in the middle of everything stood the girl thinking, "I beat the demon. It's gone now and can prove that I beat it." Looking at her arm she saw a large cut from her shoulder to her elbow. "I'll clean it up when I get home."
