Okay so I know I haven't posted anything in a while but I just haven't thought of anything decent. Since TWD has finished its season I have been rewatching old episodes and as Andrea was my favourite I have decided to do another little oneshot concerning her.

This brings us right back to Season 1: Episode 5, right after Amy's death. Now I estimated a date as I can not find one anywhere on the internet that tells us the dates of when everything happened.

The group stood around the mass gravesite containing those that had fallen the night before. The holes had been filled in but nobody wanted to leave yet. Finally Lori remarked,

"I wish somebody knew the date, so that we could record it, remember it."

Andrea looked up from where she had collapsed onto the ground, "It's September 16th."

The others looked at her surprised, "We asked last night, why didn't you mention anything then?"

"I wanted to keep it a surprise!" Andrea manages to get out before she starts to bawl once more.

Everyone besides Dale is confused by that statement, while Dale is just sad. "Keep what a surprise?" Rick asks stepping forward.

"A-a-amy's birthday!" Andrea chokes out as she looks up at them with tears streaming down her face.

"Her birthday was soon?" Carol asks, saddened.

"It's her birthday today, I wanted to-to surprise her, I knew she didn't know the date. I-i-i even picked her up a gift while in Atlanta. S-s-she died on her birthday! I SHOT her on her birthday!" Andrea says, the guilt and sadness visible on her face.

Lori moves forward to kneel besides her, "I didn't know, I'm so sorry for your loss. But you can't blame yourself, this is not your fault."

"I should have protected her, I'm her big sister!" Andrea snaps back at her.

"And you did the best you could. It is a zombie apocalypse, there was nothing more you could have done." Lori tries to reassure her, but Andrea is past listening, she sinks in on herself further and continues to sob as Lori puts an arm cautiously around her shoulder.

A silence ensues until Ricks pipes up from where he was holding onto Carl, "We should carve a sign, with the date and their names. So that us, and others passing through, can remember them."

"I got a good knife," Daryl adds on, "You could use it."

Dale intones, "September 16th, a day where great people, loved by many, fell."

Sorry if it was really bad, it was just a scene that I felt could be written. Please review any constructive critiscism you may have.
