Um, this is just some of Logan's thoughts during season two on how many times Max changed her freaking mind. The title comes from the Gym Class Heroes song, Cupids Chokehold.

Don't own anything.

Logan wasn't sure anymore when she would answer and when she had decided that they shouldn't see each other at all anymore. One minute, everything was fine and she was over his apartment eating dinner the next she was telling him that she could never see him again.

It was enough, he thought some times, to drive a person insane. The constant need to change her mind on him, and some times he even thought of telling her not to come over himself.

He would put down that urge, though. He believed that they would work it out some day. He believed that they would find a cure. He believed that they were meant to be together.
Problem was, he didn't think Max believed it sometimes.

He believed in them, up until he saw Alec coming out of her apartment that day. He had jumped to a conclusion, but still hoped that he was wrong, and then Max had confirmed it for him.

It wasn't until then that he really let her go, that he tried to move past the love he had for her, but it wasn't that easy. He had been in love with her for the better part of two years even if he wouldn't always admit it. It was hard to just let that go, hell next to impossible, but he tried.

And then the transgenics had set up shop in Terminal City and he had found out that it was a lie. That Max and Alec weren't together, and never had been.

He should have known, he guessed. Max and Alec fought and bickered and hit on each other, literally, (well, Max hit on Alec) like the brother and sister that they technically were.

Logan hadn't been angry at first, mostly because he hadn't really had time to. He had guessed the truth when Max had reached for his hand instead of Alec's. So much had been going on at the time that he hadn't really had time to think about it, though.

Of course he had been angry. He may have been hopelessly in love with Max, but he wasn't a pushover. At least, he didn't think he was. He had been angry at both of them, but when it came down to it, it was Max who had lied to him. Hell, she had said that Alec was pissed at her for a while when he found out about it, too.

And then Logan had found himself stuck in Terminal City with them. He wasn't sure how Max was doing it trapped in a city like this, but she was somehow avoiding him.

He found himself making friends where he never thought he would. He himself had called Alec a sociopath once, but he found himself talking to Alec a lot while inside the city and he knew Alec wasn't one anymore.

It was odd and frustrating that he seemed to talk to Alec and some of the other transgenics more than he talked to Max now days. She used the excuse that she was busy, but really she was just avoiding him.

He wasn't sure what he could do about it but he was thinking that Max might drive him insane before he ever got the chance to find the cure.

I know it's short but I couldn't help but think about how many times Max jerked Logan around in the second season when I was thinking about writing another Dark Angel fic.
