A Jalex one-shot that MIGHT have a prequel depending on if you guys think there should be one.

Disclaimer: I really wish I owned WOWP, but I don't.

She leans in to be closer to him. "Justin?" she whispers. Darkness surrounds them, but she knows that it is only a matter of time before someone finds out their secret.

"Justin!" she repeats, more urgently this time.

He turns over in his bed to face her, and is surprised to see tears streaming down her face.

"Alex, are you alright?"

She shakes her head no, and his arms wrap around her shaking form.

"We can't keep doing this. Someone's going to find out."

He sighs. "Max already knows. I had to tell him. He knew something was going on."

He can tell by the way she responds that she is angry and hurt. "Why did you tell him? You know he can't keep a secret." She breaks down sobbing again, and he holds her until she's calmed down enough so that he can continue.

"It was only a matter of time." He sighs, knowing that there are only two options. "Alex, we have to tell them eventually."

But she insists, "We can't! They would disown us. I don't think I could handle that."

He kisses her forehead softly. "It's the only way."

. . .

Two Years Later

"Can you believe it's been two years already?"

"No," she laughs. "I can't."

After revealing to their family that they were romantically involved with each other, Alex had been right. Shortly after being disowned, they moved to Chicago, not yet ready to give up on the city life.

They had been posing as newly-weds ever since, and had yet to be discovered.

Contact with their family had stopped completely, save for Max, who supported them, and claimed that he had known that they would fall in love before they knew themselves. He had come to visit a couple times, never mentioning if their parents had forgiven them or not.

They lived in an apartment building with a terrace, knowing from the start that they wouldn't want to give that up. Their brother-sister relationship had dissolved, and a new one had taken its place.
