This is kind of based on true life, cause my friend just found out her little brother's friend has a crush on her :) Anyway, I hope you like it :D
Oh, anyone who reads My First Weasley Jumper, I will try to update soon, I'm just kind of running out of ideas for new chapters.
Enjoy :)
You were Dominique, I was Alexander.
Together, we were Dom&Alex.
Inseperable, unstoppable.
We were next-door-neighbours.
Well, as 'next-door' as you can be at the edge of the country.
Our parents were close.
We grew up together, best friends.
You had the unmistakable Weasley hair, which your mother usually pulled into a long plait each morning.
I was shorter then, and had short, blonde hair.
I was three years younger, closer in age to your younger brother Louis, but we didn't care.
We were ever-so-close until you turned eleven and left me to go to Hogwarts.
I knew I would be following you in three years, but couldn't help to feel like things would never be the same.
Unfortunately, I was right.
We wrote to each other loads, but when you came home you were always distracted.
While you were in Hogwarts, I grew closer to Louis.
I like to think he didn't quite miss you as much as me, but I'm telling you, it was close.
Our friendship wasn't the same.
Looking back now, I think that I started Hogwarts at the worst possible time.
You had just hit that age where boys were the only thing on your mind, and not the eleven year old kind.
I can count the times we spoke in my first year on one hand, despite the fact we were both in Gryffindor.
We slowly grew apart those next few years.
I think it all changed in my fourth year, your last.
I had grown that summer, a lot.
By the time we returned to school, I was easily a foot taller than you.
I was also failing Transfiguration, much to my mother's despair.
My professor asked you to tutor me, as you had completed (and passed) NEWT level transfiguration in sixth year.
So every Tuesday and Friday we met in the library for an hour.
Soon enough, I was aceing my worst subject and regretting that I wouldn't get to spend any more time with you.
We became close again, nowhere near as close as we had been though.
I discovered my crush on you then.
Looking back now, I realise that it had been there for a while.
There was never any hope for me though.
You left school, travelled around, married a Frenchman.
I was always 'just Alex'.
Nothing more, much to my disappointment.
Review :)
