In Ancient China, there were many legends of acts of bravery and heroes. One famous legend is of the Dragon Warrior. And this Dragon Warrior was like no other. For he was a panda. He defeated many foes, and won many battles. After saving China from one of his most challenging foes, Lord Shen, he became known by all across China as their savior. However, one of his stories does not begin with him. This story begins far from the Valley Of Peace, with a mysterious warrior, searching for someone who could aid him in his quest...

The tavern was dimly lit with only a few candles and torches here and there to make sure people could see. 'The Dragon Maw' was a popular spot for thieves, cutthroats, assassins, and bounty hunters to relax or look for their next mark. Yuè felt right at home as he drank his liquor, scoping out the room from the bar.

"Hey! Barkeep, another shot of Baijiu!" he demanded as the rhino from behind the bar filled his cup once again. "Last one." he said to Yuè with a stern expression. Yuè growled lowly from under the hood of his tattered cloak.

He quickly downed his shot and turned to a fox sitting on the stool next to him and pulled out a sheet of paper. "Hey buddy. You seen this guy?" he asked showing the fox the paper. It was a wanted poster for a panda called 'The Dragon Warrior'. Below the name was a price of 1 billion gold, enough money for any bounty hunter to retire happily. The fox looked at the poster with wide eyes, "You're goin' after him? Uhhh...well, everyone knows that he lives in The Valley of Peace, but no one messes with him." Yuè looked closer at the fox and removed his hood, revealing a grizzled wolf with a scar running across his muzzle. "Well, I didn't know that. Thanks." he said getting up from his bar stool. Taking a single step forward he turned back to the fox, "By the way, you wouldn't by any chance be 'Firefox Zhao', the infamous arsonist, would you?" he said with smirk running across his muzzle.

The fox leapt from his seat and started toward the exit but was stopped by several other bounty hunters blocking his way. "Not so fast bushy tail. You're mine." said a large ox brandishing a large club. "Ahem!" said a voice from behind, "I called this guy, and I got to 'em first. Bounty's mine." Yuè said cracking his knuckles. There was a stunned silence in the tavern as a group of five other bounty hunters stood in front of his target. He took a step forward and in an instant the other bounty hunters sprinted at the fox and wolf.

As Yuè saw everyone lunge at his target he made his move. He crouched low on all fours in his improvised fighting stance for Wolf style martial arts. He leapt forward and tackled the fox, sending him crashing to the ground as the bounty hunters flew overhead, crashing into either the ground behind them or an unfortunate chair or table. Yuè stood over his quarry with a foot on his chest and swiftly punched him in the face, knocking the fox out cold.

The other bounty hunters all began to stand up and looked at the wolf with their bounty. "Best way to sober up's always a good fight." Yuè said smugly and got back into his stance. The other bounty hunters looked at this and began to fill the tavern with laughter, "Look at this joke!" one said, "What's up with that stance?!" joined another. Yuè began to get angered at the warriors laughing at him and let out a deep growl.

"Oh I'm sowwy. Did I hurt your widdle feelings?" taunted the ox. Yuè dashed forward towards the ox and drop kicked him in his face before flipping backwards and landing on both feet, standing up straight. The other bounty hunters saw the large ox hit the floor with a thud, leaving him unconscious. They looked back up at the wolf that hit him as he looked back with a smug expression. "So, anyone else got somethin' to say?" he said as everyone charged him at once.

He jumped over his first assailant, a crocodile, as he landed a palm strike in the chest of another wolf, knocking him into a table and breaking it. Next he turned to his left where a pig and deer stood side by side, both wielding dual butterfly knives. "Heh, I wasn't really in the mood for pork or veal, but I guess you'll do." he said to intimidate the animals of prey. They both dashed toward him slashing their knives to no avail as Yuè dodged the strikes while moving backwards. He was backed into a wall as they thrust the knives at his stomach. Yuè leapt into the air, his attackers lodging their weapons in the wall, and landed behind them, striking both with a roundhouse kick. "Three down, one to go." he said triumphantly as he faced his last opponent, a large gorilla.

Yuè charged forward towards his opponent, being met with a swift, hard punch to the chest and being flung to the bar of the tavern. "S***! Let's try that again." he said standing back up and getting on all fours. The gorilla chuckled at the display and began to move forward, walking on his fists. Yuè charged forward and instead of meeting the gorilla head on sidestepped to the left and kicked his fist out from under him. The gorilla fell to the ground and began to look toward the wolf that put him there. "C'mon! I thought this was a fight!" he taunted as gorilla regained his footing.

Yuè switched his stance to the more traditional Wolf style stance as his opponent charged at him with unbridled rage. He spun to the right of the gorilla moving with his body as he struggled to catch the wolf. They began to move in way that made them look as if they were dancing, the gorilla moving left and Yuè staying close to his body and moving the same way. The gorilla moving right and the wolf doing the same until the gorilla began to tire out. The gorilla now panting loudly could hardly move when Yuè walked in front of him. Placing a finger in front of his face, Yuè quickly thrust his fist forward in a one-inch punch, knocking the gorilla to the ground.

He began to walk toward the door and picked up the fox by the scruff of his neck. When he reached the door he turned back to the destroyed interior of the tavern, tables shattered and chairs thrown about. The rhino at the bar slowly peeked up at the wolf who promptly tossed a large bag of gold on the bar counter. "That should cover the bar. As for my drinks, put it on my tab." Yuè said leaving the bar. "But, you don't have a tab!" the rhino yelled after the wolf left.

Outside the bar stood a green crocodile with a metal hand sharpening a dadao with a whetstone. "Oh there you are Yue. I was beginning to think you were getting your tail handed to you." the croc said in a smug tone. "Not today Jian. There was a gorilla in there though. Damn he can punch." Yuè said rubbing his chest. "Heh. So, that's the 'Dragon Warrior'? Doesn't look too mystical to me." Jian said examining the fox being dragged on the ground. "Nah, this guy's the other bounty I was tracking. Don't worry, you'll get the same cut you always get." Yuè said as they began to make their way to the nearest guard station.

After they turned in their bounty Yuè and Jian began to make their way to the Valley of Peace. After several days of traveling on foot they reached a ridge over looking the peaceful valley. "So, you think this guy'll help you?" Jian asked turning to his partner. Yuè stood looking down at the large village, scoping out possible places for him to be, "If he can't help find Li, then I could always get that bounty for him. Guy said dead or alive, let's hope he'll come quietly." Yuè said as he checked his weapons and started making his way into town.
