COURAGE - BY KURT ELIZABETH HUMMEL

(For Blaine)

If you had, just one last word

That you could say to me

If you had, just one more word

I know what it would be

/

A word that you would e-mail,

Text or smile or say

And unlike any other

Sure to brighten up my day

/

When I said it, I could picture you,

Laughing with your eyes

On the day I said "Impossible"

You said I'd be surprised

/

You told me that my problem

Was that I couldn't see

Wouldn't access all the magic

That hid inside of me

/

I could do anything, you told me,

Anything I tried

I shook my head, I disagreed

You turned to me and sighed

/

You continued your persuasion,

Convinced yourself I cared

I guess you knew, you understood

That I was only scared

/

And if you acquired the power,

To take over my mind

I know that all you'd want to do

Is try to help me find

/

Find a way to overcome,

Find a way to fly

Find a way to make me brave

To make me want to try

Blaine: Oh that's beautiful.

Kurt: Of course it's beautiful, I wrote it for you.

Blaine: *smiles*

AN - This is not my best or usual poetic style - it's rather simplistic partly because I wrote it two years ago, and partly because I was trying to write in the first person from the POV of someone else.

On a side note - I'm published! (if you hadn't seen the announcement on my profile)

I desperatley need help. We have to sell 100-500 copies of my ebook by the end of the month or it won't be printed :(

You can purchase it from the Amazon Kindle Store: THE FATHER - by Lollie Melton
