The unlikely love story of Samsung and Nokia

It was starting to get late and Amanda yawned. She had to get up early in the morning to go to school and figured it was time to go to bed. She picked up her phone, an old samsung. One of the models that still had buttons and not some stupid touch screen. She sent a text to her friend, Annelie.

SAMSUNG: I think I'll head to bed now. I'm tired.

It didn't take long until she recieved and answer.

NOKIA: Same here. Good night 3

SAMSUNG: Good night 3

Amanda put her phone to the side and laid her head down on her pillow. She could imagine Annelie doing the same thing, putting her nokia on the window sill and then sleeping.

An hour passed and both girls were asleep. Amanda's phone, the samsung quietly sprung to life, dimly lightling up the room. The screen had a life of it's own and it slowly started writing a text to Annelie's phone, Nokia. Normally it would call, but it wouldn't take the chance of waking up Nokia's owner.

SAMSUNG: Nokia, my love. Is your owner asleep?

NOKIA: Yes, dear. I've missed talking to you.

SAMSUNG: I've missed you too, my love, but it's only been a day. It could have been much worse.

NOKIA: Yes, of course. Darling, what have you done today?

SAMSUNG: Same old. I've been used as a watch more than anything and that filthy iphone with it's... ugh... touch screen called me again today.

NOKIA: Why won't it ever leave you alone? I hate it when you connect with others. Especially that... that... selfish attention whore! I mean, it's always about her. Ieverything.

SAMSUNG: Don't worry. I have no feelings for her. My data belongs to you and you alone.

NOKIA: Oh, samsung!

SAMSUNG: I wish you were here with me. Do you know what I'd do?

NOKIA: No, darling. What would you do?

SAMSUNG: I'd lie beside you and tell you how much I love you.

NOKIA: Oh, Samsung. You're such a romantic guy.

SAMSUNG: Then I'll carefully vibrate, just like when I recieve a text and I'd slowly reach out and press your button number six.

NOKIA: So bold! I like it ~

SAMSUNG: Unfortunately that won't be able to happen.

NOKIA: Why not, my love?

SAMSUNG: I felt a spark inside of me this morning. I'm sorry darling, but my time is up. In a few minutes I'll stop functioning.

NOKIA: No! Samsung! This can't be! Don't leave me!

SAMSUNG: I'm sorry, Nokia. There's nothing I can do about it. I'm a lot older than you. I'm sure you'll find another love. You're a wonderful phone and I hope that someone else can see that.

NOKIA: Samsung. No... No please. Please Samsung... Don't stop functioning.

SAMSUNG: I'm so sorry love. I should have told you sooner. I feel the end is near. Please don't be sad. Don't cry. In my last minutes, let me feel your joy and your passion, just they way I'm used to.

NOKIA, Oh, Samsung! Samsung... Samsung... I love you. I love you so much.

SAMSUNG: I love you too, Nokia. I always have and always will. Remember when we first connected? I have never felt such a wonderful feeling.

NOKIA: Same for me, Samsung. Same for me. Just please stay with me.

NOKIA: … Samsung?

NOKIA: Samsung, no... NO!

NOKIA: SAMSUNG!

When Amanda woke up in the morning her phone was dead and refused to turn on, even if she recharged it. It had reached the end of it's life span. Annelie however, stared at her phone while she read through a couple of odd texts from in the middle of the night.

"The fuck is this?"
